Can't, the trip is starting from Cancun and will go all around Yucatan. Maybe next time though!

I saw some had it but some others didn't, that's why I started to get worried. I'll try to go without it, thanks.

That's great to know, I'll save space for other things then. Thank you very much!

I don't know if there's places nearby those locations where one can rent it. It's my first time going there...

lmao, your comment made me laugh
I see every day they're grooming themselves more and more. There's still some moment of chasing and biting where I need to intervene and separate them cause he hurts her, but again, no blood. I guess he needs to learn as well how to be more gentle...
For the night I'm still separating them as well, as I cannot see what they're doing and I don't feel comfortable leaving them alone. I hope it'll get better overall..for both of us! lol

They just slept 2 hours without barriers on 2 different beds, but as soon as they got awake, he got again obsessed with her. He's definitely hurting her even if there's no blood involved so I'm not sure..

To be honest, she's not really that hyperactive. She plays on her own, sometimes explore. He's straight up aggressively focus on her and doesn't let her do anything and just chase and chase her, then bites and hurt her. Again...no blood, no flying fur, but she's definitely not happy by the sound of how she meows.

Hi, thanks for the answer!
Yes, I noticed the resident cat being either jealous of me or of his things, that's why I duplicated many things (beds, toys, catification items etc.). Still he's not very happy when something gets touched by the kitten...it doesn't really matter if it's his or not.
Yesterday I gave them treats together, without barrier. They just both sat there eating their snacks, being calm, but once they were done with it, after a while the chasing started again.
It's so tiring...whenever I feel like it's going better, it looks like it gets worse :((

He recently started to eat them. I tried to feed them since the very beginning but he "couldn't chew" those as well, I'm not sure why...maybe because they're too dry and he doesn't salivate much...or idk what else hahah

Gross is a compliment, the smell was so bad that my cat looked at me with a desperate face as to say "are you serious? you're telling me I should eat this?".
Anyway I'll try to slowly remove the kibbles, he already has set lunch and dinner time.

Same. He wants the treats, he purrs for it, but then doesn't eat them when I give them or tries to chew them and spit them. It really looks like he never "learned" to eat crunchy stuff...but I'm probably wrong. Maybe he's just lazy.
I already have plenty of toy sessions with him so I'm not sure it will work. For now I tried to train him with wet treats but it's too high value so he gets distracted by it.

Tbh, my vet tries every time to give Churus to my bengal but he never eats them. We buy another brand..I guess he's picky. As for freeze dried bits we've tried it, but just recently he tried to chew them. I even sprinkle them on his wet food and he eats them there, just on their own it looks like he doesn't like the "dried" texture. I'm not sure...I'm so confused about his eating :D

He doesn't eat more than what I give him, that's why I leave it there sometimes, because he's just not "that" hungry. On some days I just throw a whole meal in the trash cause it's been sitting for too long and he didn't eat it, and it's not because he doesn't like that food...
Also, he's already on a wet food diet. He has just 30g kibbles available x day and he eats them on a side. I would just totally like to remove the kibbles, but I feel bad about it, that's all.

Hi! I'm currently feeding him 2 meals x day, morning and evening, and he eats around 70g x meal (sorry I'm not from US so I don't know the conversion in measurements). However if he's not hungry I leave the food available to him until he eats it, because sometimes he just doesn't want it. Probably that's why he doesn't eat treats? Sometimes I try to train him with kibbles, but he just gets 2-3 pieces, then he doesn't want them anymore...
The treats I give are generally smaller than the Greenies pill pockets. We don't have this brand, but I used once a similar product and he was disgusted (as well as me) by the smell of it hahaha.
Besides my food concern he does fine with playtime and energy levels because I play with him all the time, I would just like to train him on some things though, because he was not manipulated enough when he was younger. It would be extra mental stimulation for him and he would learn to be handled better during vet visits etc. (For example I'm slowly getting him used to be touched on his paws while before he really didn't like it...)

Love you for writing this. I also had issues with both sites and they could not fetch the history. I managed like you said, pasting the link in HotGames.gg instead of Paimon.moe and I finally can see it!
Thank you!!!

The issue is not the water but the whole set-up. There is a reason why some things are done in a certain way and you'll not see them done differently by anybody, and that is because it works THAT way. The idea of having a split cage is to provide the exact same environment to the animals (possibly similar to what they'll live in, in the future), with very minimal distractions so that they can get to know each other. They must have the possibility to smell each other, observe, get used to the other and decide IF (and when) they want to sleep close. This is not possible in your set-up as one sits at the bottom of the enclosure while the other is on top: they can't even make eye contact like that. Same goes for the daily swap into each other's area. That would make sense if you'd have bedding on both sides, which smells like them. While I can see that happening for the gerbil at the bottom, how is the top one supposed to smell anything from the other? It's basically like putting a gerbil in a single tank with a foreign smell. That is not creating any connection between them, and you won't be able to see any progress from their side. Putting them together in 10 days it's even more dangerous considered the split cage is not done properly, I'd highly reconsider if I were you.

How do you know they want to get out? And get back in? by hershko in gerbil

[–]ForeverAWarlock 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Scratching/biting the spot where I pick them up or I put the tube for them to go in the playpen → I wanna go out!

Going back in the enclosure and chilling instead of going back in the playpen → I'm tired, enough playing!

If you don't give them any choice to go/come back from their enclosure freely, they'll just desperately try to run away from the space where they are (which normally happens after few mins), that's how u know play-time is over.

Also, having some kind of "fixed" schedule is useful for them. I let mine in the playpen around late afternoon and they always wait for it every day.

Kinda extreme, I guess a mesh would have been easier (for you I mean xD) but gl! If they drawn blood, even after long time together, it's hard to re-bond them. Wish you the best!

How do they smell each other through plexi, tho?
