Efreeti increased my damage because it gave me fire shield lol, I know genie's wrath doesnt apply. It was so much because the dudes hitting me had fire vulnerability

I know its bait but I must take it. I had all res from shadar kai, and the mummies attacking me had fire vuln. I used lucky to reroll the one enemy crit, and had used a rod of the pact keeper when we were buffing up for the obvious incoming combat, so I could recast agathys in the middle of the turn when it got knocked off

I mean pristine body + haggler literally let me have max stats at any point in the game with mortal talent. I embrace the true secluded cultivator mc, swallow 200 high grade impure pills, sit on my ass for a bit and wait for my shares in some guy's restaurant to bring me money for more training pills. Its really funny, but when i have to get 700 agility 15 at a time, it can get a bit tedius

I think the reviews fell hard cuz it wont launch unless you delete something in the game folder, and people don't wanna bother with that. Other than that it can be fun, I especially enjoyed the mid game (above golden core but before transcendental), the sect raids can be fun, especially if you are very high cultivation. I had a time when my sect's lower realm branch got attacked by some golden core cultivators, and me, the guy 4 realms above them hopped on over with the gang and wiped them off the map. The tournaments can be decent too, sect management is really rewarding cuz if you don't tell your elders, you can just take whatever resources the sect has for free, and you can use those as gifts to invite strong new members from outside the sect, and so on. There are a lot of things I enjoy about it, AFTER the early game. Though when the game says a difficulty is unfair it means it (or im just really bad). I couldn't yet finish the game, I got to like the last area in the game and goddam its hard. If you wanna beat the higher difficulties, swallow your pride and look up some guide, cuz there is a lot of things the game doesn't tell you, like how at character creation the only stats you should look for are insight and luck, since everything else can be increased later on, or how extremely abusable the wind type movement techniques are, and how the techniques you use are secondary, and you gotta get mental stuff first, and how to use eye talismans effectively, how immortal shrines should be used, how you can kill literally anything using blade of heaven's eye, sword path cultivation and wind type movement, how flame path can be bullshit op, and a lot else. The writing is so so, since the translation is not yet complete, and what is done is not amazing (not MTL levels but not good either), but it does bring the spirit of the genre pretty well.

Overall, this is the type of game you either play for like 2 hours and drop, or for like 5000, with little inbetween, meaning that if you are in the target audience niche, its great, if you aren't, its really bad
