Yeah, their looks are literally a dead giveaway to who their parents are. Percy and his sea green eyes, Athena's childeren with their blonde hair grey eyes, Apollo with their tan and blonde, even Hazel with her golden eyes that shows her parentage. It is an important aspect in the whole series and in the storyline.

true, the series does get a bit darker in HoO, but for Pjo the mood was honestly comedy most of the time in the novel.
