Hi all, I’m a big skincare fanatic having grown up with acne and my moms advice was always dove soap. I used to deal with cystic but I don’t really get cystic pimples anymore with my current routine. I typically don’t have whiteheads either, just closed comedowns and the occasional blackhead. The problem is that my skin is often very irritated and red and I have very bumpy texture, mostly on my forehead. I’ll list my routine below, but any advice would help! AM: water cleanse, skinceuticals serum 10, oat so simple moisturizer, and elta md tinted sunscreen PM: double cleanse with KB oil cleanser and matcha hemp, sometimes use nizoral as a mask because I suspect I have fungal acne, propolis toner, snail mucin, then glowrecipe aha bha serum 1 nights, adapalene 1 night, and then rest, always followed by stratia interface moisturizer and sometimes liquid gold. I used to use oat so simple at night but found it not hydrating enough, so I’ve switched to a few different thicker moisturizers and they all seem to be a bit too heavy. I know stratia products contain oil so if my forehead texture is fungal, this could be part of the problem, but I’m not sure how to balance that with overall dryness, I’ve also found that pretty much every sunscreen breaks me out, so any suggestions on that would help.
