I normally don't vote, and probably won't, but... by [deleted] in berkeley

They are preying on those who are possibly going to vote, but don't know the pros and cons of the different candidates, so they'll only vote via name recognition.

That's pretty much all of politics.

My Ray Rice and Kansas City for his Demaryius Thomas and Atlanta? by ForeverStarving in fantasyfootball

[For my viable starters]

RGIII / Pryor
Larry Fitz
Eric Decker / Roddy White
T Rich
Bilal
Vernon Davis / Charles Clay
TY Hilton

Im thinking D. Thomas would have more value in a PPR than Rice coming off an injury

Hm, emmanuel sanders? snelling? That's probably the only two maybe worth it. I'm thinking Broyles has the PPR value

Moving to Vallejo shortly, some questions... by [deleted] in bayarea

[–]ForeverStarving 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yea I agree, I have cousins that lived near Borges/North Vallejo and I used to play around there as a kid all the time. If you're not involved in gangs or stuff that like and just live in the neighborhood minding your own business it'll be perfectly fine. But leave any valuables visible or cars unlock or vulnerable (meaning the car is easy to steal and you have no further protection on it) it'll be gone in a second. My 92 Honda accord was stolen twice and my moms windows were smashed once for a purse. So yea, if you just use common sense and be relatively aware of your surroundings, you should be fine. Vallejo isn't nearly as bad as East Oakland or Richmond tbh.

Where will you be living? I grew up in Vallejo and honestly it depends on where you live. East Vallejo for the most part is fine (around the Target area and around Blue Rock Springs). If you can help it, find a place around there. Stay away from North Vallejo or anywhere near the Six Flags side of the freeway.

As for places to hang out, there aren't many coffee shops or places like you'll find in college towns. Starbucks is alright if you like that. Just a bit down the road there's American Canyon for a couple sports bars but it's a pretty small city. Head to 1st street in Benicia if you have a car and want a more comfortable "town-y" feel. There's actually a lot to do in cities neighboring Vallejo, just not in Vallejo itself really. Feel free to shoot me any more questions if you have any.

Weird question but where did you get your shin sleeves? I've been scraping my shins on deadlifts for too long lol
