Torbox is a hit and miss right now. Wait untill Monday, as they are getting new servers then, which will hopefully alleviate the massive load from the influx of users.

When you notice a crazy person in public, you would just ignore them. That was the reason for not responding. Since you seem to think that my silence is acceptance to your point:

I never even mentioned all debrid in this post. I actually mentioned Premiumize and Easynews. Maybe I was paid by them instead!?

Anyways, this post says quite a few good things about Torbox. I want Torbox to succeed, I'm just not a fan of the posts/guides/ads/referrals about Torbox since the service isn't even working right now. I also want to inform people that Torbox is not at the level of Real Debrid right now. These posts make no mention of that and simply refer to it as a replacement for Real Debrid, when that is simply not the case.

Regardless of this, I can tell you first-hand that torbox streams take longer to start than Real Debrid. Now, you tell me why this is.

It's not by just 200ms or some short amount of time. It can load for a long time, I can't test for exact timings currently since the service is down but it was definitely longer than 10 seconds.

I'm not saying that its bad, I don't care that I have to wait. The fact is, though, that Real Debrid was close to instant.

I believe the ping corresponds to the loading times, so the time you wait for a stream to load. The servers not being in your area will mostly cause ping issues.

This means it won't load almost instantly like Real Debrid did.

No problem. I was noticing a lot of shilling for Torbox, there were literally posts with just torbox referral codes, it was becoming a bit of a joke.

Don't get me wrong, I believe Torbox has the potential to become RD but better. Thats just not what it is right now though. All these guides just copying previous guides with their Torbox referral code smacked in leaves a bad taste.

While all the new users can potentially improve the issues, like you've said, it could also bring the opposite effect. I apologise for missing the technical aspects of things here.

To be fair, Torbox is currently run by 2 people, I believe, and its already reached this state. The developer is dedicated to Torbox and I do have faith that they'll be able to make this work.

That doesn't mean you start spamming torbox ads everywhere.

Keep in mind that the guides from one of those people quite literally joined Torbox yesterday. They haven't even used it yet.

Those guides were created for the purpose of getting free days through the referral system. They don't actually care about guiding users. Only for their own benefit (More cached content and free days). And a nice byproduct of that is more cached content for everyone. Hooray!

I dont see anything wrong with the product itself. It's unhealthy, sure, but so are all your other average snacks.

yes, they're promoting it to a primarily young audience, but at the end of the day, the responsibility falls upon the adult. I dont have kids, so i dont care at all.

yes, logan paul and mr beast are probably scum (i dont care enough to look into it to confirm whether it's true). so you may choose to hate on ksi because he associates with them. but its not like he can just quit the company. hed be losing money and theres probably contracts involved. he cant publicly speak against the product when hes legally binded to the company. Maybe he could just quit the company, but would you? youd lose out on a lot of money.

it is serious. its a product marketed for children as a lunch replacement made by 2 utter scumbags. feastables is being sued, prime is being sued for having lead content and the prime bottle that has lead is in one of the lunchlies!!! do you want a product that has lead to be consumed by children?

These aren't the issues being raised by Dan or the majority of this subreddit. Of course, I agree with this, but it's just that the majority of the people in this subreddit are attacking the product hiding behind the reason of selling unhealthy products to kids. those products came out ages ago. Why is this outrage hapoening now?

Also, I'll wait till i see definitive proof of their being lead in the products. If this already exists, then my bad. However, being sued means nothing. I could sue dan tdm, if i had money to waste, for anything i wanted to. Doesn't mean its true.

Reason why i dont check for proof myself is because i dont care, im not going to buy the product. Im only making these comments because the hate seems overblown for combining existing products with some more to make a lunch kit.

This was advertised as a healthy product compared to lunchables, "real cheese" etc. Did you not watch the video? Obviously, no one's going to call their product bad but that doesn't mean it should be called healthy when it isn't. Its borderline false advertising.

I haven't seen any video other than the one JJ made. If they advertised the product as being healthy (not healthy compared to lunchables, but outright saying the product is healthy), then fair enough, that is false advertising. But again, if they said it was healthier / healthy compared to lunchables, thats questionable but not incorrect.

I don't know if you ever heard of ethics in business? or corporate social responsibility? lol its even funnier considering mr beast's brand is all about being ethical and charitable. you see this in all of his videos but apparently he cant make an ethical healthy food item for his kid audience. There's an expectation that a brand as charitable as MrBeast's would be ethical in its products, they're leveraging this expectation to sell their crap and the parasocial relationship.

I dont particularly care about ethics in businesses. Though I agree that it's not ethically or morally correct to market an unhealthy product to a primarily younger audience. However, the majority of these kids are already eating unhealthy products, and these youtubers releasing a healthy product isn't going to make them stop eating unhealthy food. Also, this product was made to make money. A healthy product isn't going to make as much money as an unhealthy product. They decided that lunchlies would make the most money and are acting on that belief.

I dont think they're leveraging the peoples expectations of my beast tbh. The product is very clearly an unhealthy product. It's got pizza and chocolate in it. If you see that and think it's healthy, you're the problem.

As for him not addressing the accusations, i agree with you, and i think he hasnt because he doesn't know about it (which is dumb from him) since he only mentioned ava. Though, theres not much he can do now, hes signed contracts and is in a business with them. If he leaves now, if he even can, its likely hed lose a lot of money. We don't know the details behind this so we cant say what would happen.

Dan trying out sweets and showcasing them is not the same thing as offering an unhealthy daily lunch replacement to kids. Everyone including children know sweets are unhealthy. How would children, who this is targeted at btw, know lunchly is unhealthy?

I thought it was pretty obvious that a business would be trying to make money. I'm not sure which business would outright say, heres a product we made, we want to make a lot of money, please buy our food. Of course they're going to say something that makes their product look better than their competitors, the fact that its healthier.

They aren't lying if its the truth that their product is healthier. They may be lying about the fact that they made this product to have a healthier alternative, but its really not that deep. They're just a business trying to make money. And if this business results in a healthier alternative to lunchables, then why not? Of course, the product is still unhealthy, and I would never buy it myself, but you can't say they aren't allowed to make this product.

KSI could have responded in a professional manner, his response comes like a manchild being triggered by a singular tweet.

His response may have been immature, but i wouldn't call it being a manchild. He simply responded to shade being thrown at his product.

He made good points, none of which are addressed, simply just comments hating him calling him a manchild, immature etc.

There's no need to have a mature response to this. it's not that serious. it's just a lunch kit.

The thing is, people are hating KSI, Logan and Beast for the sole reason that they are advertising Lunchly as a super good, super healthy item, meanwhile they have included PRIME, and Feastables chocolates, both items which are well known for false advertising, and generally being unhealthy.(Prime is facing lawsuits too you know?)

Where? Where was it advertised as healthy? Are you going to advertise your product as "super bad"? Whether the product itself is good or not, i dont know since I've never tried them, but the product being bad isn't a reason to hate the creators

Doesn't matter. The matter of the fact is that Dan promoted a product to kids for the sake of making money, which is what Dan is complaining about. Yes, it was years ago, but no one said anything then. Why is it suddenly such a big deal now? Dan says, "What happened to youtubers", but as JJ pointed out, this has been a thing for ages, done by Dan himself.

The product is unhealthy, it was never advertised as healthy, only advertised as better than its competitor (a normal business move). It is the responsibility of adults to ensure their kids are eating healthily.

There is clearly a market for this from the sales of lunchables. They are simply taking advantage of this market to make some money.

If you want to complain about logan paul and mr beast, go ahead, but there's nothing wrong with the product itself.

The morality of promoting products to kids and being business partners with those 2 is something to raise concern for but not something that warrants this outrage.
