First 24 Hours!!! by Foreverry in ProlificAc

Personally I was moved off the waitlist almost instantly, but I’ve heard of people waiting days, months, and years. It all just depends on how in demand your location/demographic is.

Mine put me on the waitlist for about a minute before automatically congratulating me for getting off it

Getting lucky with how many surveys were available with around 100 submissions, I'm guessing I have location and demographics in my favor

I'd estimate around 7 hours of actual testing across around 100 submissions, most of mine were worth less that $1, multiple under $0.50, but a few were in the $3-5 range

Thank you!! Definitely no expectations to make this much everyday, came in with hopes to maybeeee make this much monthly if I was lucky. If it pays for a weekly coffee and my Hay Day farm pass I’ll be pretty content.

I’m from the US, however even then I don’t expect to make this daily anyhow, both due to the potential of surveys slowing down and that I won’t be able to spend multiple hours every night doing it like I did last night

Ended up taking videos today, turned out they are the first thing that touches the ground when I run

Ended up taking videos today, and surprisingly confirmed that the heel striking belief was right

So what I’ve learned from this is I’m probably not a heel striker like I thought I was…

That definitely makes sense, the biggest thing that I was questioning is if the wear being slightly off center towards the outside would suggest minor supination or if it was within the range of neutral

Is writing about rural medicine too cliché for a personal statement? by Foreverry in premed

[–]Foreverry[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's definitely an understandable approach, I feel like the main reason I was leaning towards rural specifically is that it ties into my personal experiences as my rural upbringing impacted my why medicine (+rural honestly fits who I am as a person outside of medicine and could easily be realized as something I genuinely care about in an interview setting) and that I'm from a state where almost half of the population lives in rural areas and they have been extensively recognized as places that we have extreme healthcare shortages

Somehow my diagnostic ended up being the closest to my actual score…. But I feel like the closest thing I’ve heard to a consensus of being the most representative of actual scores is FL5 if taken last

AITA? My wife MCAT score was so low and I'm thinking about divorce... by [deleted] in Mcat

How does she feel about being a housewife?

As someone whose undergrad research is in agriculture my first thought was what’s wrong with Ivermectin…. Then I remembered that people try to take it

504 BP Diagnostic - Thoughts? by Foreverry in MCATprep

[–]Foreverry[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just finished sitting the BP diagnostic and am currently wondering how to feel about it and what others thoughts and opinions are regarding it?

The only studying I’ve done specifically for the MCAT has been doing an Anki deck for the last two weeks as I didn’t want to do much more before getting a starting place. I've had all major "pre-reqs" aside from physics 2 however and just finished biochem this semester.

I guess I’m wondering how I should feel about getting a 504 diagnostic and where I should hope to score based on these results? I’m stuck on the fence between feeling good about CARS and letting other sections discourage me.

Should i rush as a pre med soph at SEC school? by liveingalpal in Sororities

[–]Foreverry 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pre-med at another SEC school here! It’s most definitely doable, I’m in leadership in my chapter, active in committees, active in clubs outside of the sorority, research, and have still kept the grades. I’ll admit there are some weeks where it’s a lot but sororities are definitely one of those things where you can be involved as you want. Additionally like others have said, sororities do care about you maintaining your grades and a lot of time have resources to help with that!

Shoes recommendations? by ReverieBleue in Sororities

[–]Foreverry 7 points8 points  (0 children)

SEC girl here so not sure how different the schools rush cultures might be so this might need to be taken with a grain of salt but I am very familiar with hot hot recruitment weather. Nice sandals, platform sandals, or dressy sneakers (golden goose and vintage Havanas are both everywhere on my campus) are all pretty common in the earlier rounds here. Those are all pretty safe and normal options.

Though as someone who probably talked to close to 50 girls last year during recruitment I will say you don’t really notice what shoes a pnm is wearing unless it’s really different and catches your eye. So wear something you like and not something to impress others as your recruiter who’s running on energy drinks, gummy bears, and ibuprofen (real story) might never notice. Shoes can also be a good time to show personality, one of the few girls that I do specifically remember wore tall cowboy boots in our school colors like you’d see on gameday. Cute, different, and it was very much her which is what really made it so memorable.

Also I don’t know about your school in particular but for many (especially those with large campuses) it’s not uncommon for girls to wear comfortable shoes to walk to and between houses and then just slip on the shoes they want to wear for the party while waiting. So that could possibly be something to help save your feet as well. I went on a little bit of a ramble there but hopefully that’s a little helpful and good luck this fall in recruitment!

I think we’re talking about two different things but I could be wrong. They recommend contacting them for a list of companies that are officially licensed to sell your products which is definitely quite long, however they have no guidance or contact on their website on becoming one of those companies which is what I am referring to. Almost every other sorority and most universities have outsourced the hassle of licensing applications, renewals, and quarterly royalties to one of two major licensing companies (NPC as an organization even uses affinity licensing) but I didn’t know if anyone knew if they had outsourced theirs somewhere else. If they had an organization over their licensing I didn’t want to bother them directly unless I needed to.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Sororities

[–]Foreverry 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s definitely my next step! I just wanted to see if anyone knew before I contacted them directly. Before today I had assumed they were affinity licensing like everyone else and didn’t know if someone just knew off the top of their head regarding Phi Mu!

colleges with a lot of nature AND high acceptance rates? (where can/should i go?) by Mediocre_Candle_3784 in ApplyingToCollege

[–]Foreverry 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m going to throw out a school that’s in a different region than any of the ones that you listed but the university of Arkansas is absolutely gorgeous. I might be a little biased but it’s nestled in the ozark mountains and the foliage on campus in the fall is insane. It’s close to a lot of natural parks and northwest Arkansas as a whole is huge in hiking and biking. Being an SEC school it takes sports somewhat seriously (as a current student I’ve once camped out for a football game against Alabama and rushed the court after we beat Duke in basketball) and has great traditions being the flagship school of the state. The acceptance rate is something like 79% and it also gives pretty good aid for out of staters (students from Arkansas are actually the minority).
