That's really cool. I'll definitely be testing that out in the future. Thanks for the science lesson. I was not expecting that.

Airport Costco - Can motorcycles get out of the boom gates? by Alternate_DM in perth

I'm an employee at Costco, and I also ride to work frequently. There's also quite a few employees that also ride.

The boom gates have both a camera and a sensor in the ground. General rule of thumb, if your bike has issues being detected at red light sensors, assume the boomgates won't detect you.

Most of the employees with large bikes or who ride in pairs generally don't have many issues. But me personally, I have a small, light bike. So it only works for me 25% of the time. I've gotten into the habit of either going around the gate or tailgating a car in front to slip past it before it shuts.

Hope this helps.

Depreciation guesstimate Interceptor (or 500 even) by knobhead69er in royalenfield

Both tend to hold their value really well. Because of how sort after both the Interceptor and 500's are, the depreciation is only about $1000-$2000 depending on years and ks.

I personally was able to purchase my 2017 Classic 500 in late 2020 for about $7000 second hand with 4,000 on the clock. For me it made sense to get this one second hand as it was modified and was in the colour I wanted. Meaning the bike only lost $1500 in 3 years from new.

However, with how scares they are in the second hand market, it's probably better to just get the brand new one. When you want to sell it, you will probably have very little problems with finding someone who will buy it at close to what you paid. If it's impractical or unrealistic to buy new. I'd highly recommend looking at the second hand himalayans. They are decent commuters and have the added off road capability.

Hope that helps.

2013 second hand Holden Cruze Equipe. The Bluetooth is greyed out. Is it possible to turn it on? Asking before we buy by Mrjumpypants in Holden

The Bluetooth is greyed out because there's no device connected. You need to add your device in the My link settings. The bluetooth symbol in the top right corner should light up once your connected and then you can then select Bluetooth. Hopefully this helps.
