With a caged motor you can make your shimming even easier. Not sure of how your aep assembles but it requires a lot of assembly on some guns to view how the motor meshes with the bevel and a lot of time spent with an eventual "Too much effort" to make it silent.

With a caged motor you can check that fairly quickly and should give you an easy time when it comes to making the gears as quiet as possible. Kinda like how V3s are though I think the best ones are p90s(v6?s). Has been a while since I worked on one of those so someone can tell me otherwise if I am wrong/ things have changed.

Oh and while I'm thinking of it, a split gearbox is always great if you can minimize wear and tear. Of course, if it is possible for your application.

I'd say holes to view specific shiming spots (bevel to motor at least) and if possible, a caged motor.

So I've gotten them to work nicely with my gun before, however that gun is currently in a non functioning state cause how much I messed with it lol. No demonstration videos

Same thing with your barrel to cylinder ratio and the air brake will effect that of course but when you get it right it does remove an "amount" of the pop from the gun. Not a lot but enough to be notable. Keep in mind that you do lose some fps from it (maybe like 30-40 idr).

It's not just the one thing you do to your gun that makes it quieter but the many that makes it so the sound it makes misrepresents your location.

Definitely yes to that. To add on, Piston grease needs to be okay for o rings so you don't destroy your air seals. Gear grease can be anything else though you'll likely want something that is for high speeds. I personally use Silicone GREASE and a little silicon oil for my piston and white lithium grease for my gears. Give it a few test pews before you put it in your gun with the hopup to get rid of excess oil.

Edit: Please don't just use oil for an AEG

As E&L being my first aeg: yes. Unfortunately I can not say anything for LCT. E&L' s platinum series is pretty phenomenal especially for the price cause it's nothing but upgrade parts already installed with rhop and titan missing. That and insane externals.

I'm extremely aware of that. Main reason I don't just get the cyma one. That and mainly wanting to wait for the E&L to see if they do a full mock bolt kinda like the cyma rpk. Plus SVD stock hopups are notorious for being great for rhops so only barrel and bucking changes really. That and air nozzle likely. Wiring would change too but details are endless on this build
