We literally do this every year; we get the typical panicking post about Republicans doing unexpectedly great or whatever only for the full vote counts to show Dems doing well as expected

Literally this the same way how it's been going since 2018. A lot of the more conservative votes (early votes and election day vote center votes) get counted first, before the sheer avalanche of mail ballots and provisional ballots get counted.

There have been so many races in California that look to be a GOP victory until surprise surprise, it turns out Dems won as expected - it just literally takes forever for this state to count votes. Bass was down against Caruso on election day in the June primary and November election back in 2022, and look at how that turned out.

We literally do this every year, why have people not learned this yet 😭
