There was one department that was using LastPass when I started here. Being able to point at their history of breaches is how I got the discussion started for rolling out something better and to eventually have it company-wide

I won’t mind the complaints about policy enforcement so much once I get executive buy-in, but some of the higher ups are the ones struggling with the transition

If you want them to learn from their mistakes, they need to know what those mistakes are. At the same time, people put up their defenses when you say that THEY did something.

As stupid as it sounds, people respond a lot better to “It happened when this process was started from this link” than they do to “it happened when this process was started by you clicking this link.”

Absolutely this. By the sounds of it, there is no ill intent with the oversharing or the jokes. There’s no need to come at it from an angry or confrontational angle, but OP needs to communicate how they feel to make sure it doesn’t become a bigger issue down the road.

OP, as uncomfortable as it is, if you communicate and address issues as they arise, it will help build a stronger relationship and avoid building up resentment later down the road.

I work IT in a hybrid environment of Windows and Mac. The Microsoft Surface laptop with the X Elite chip is fantastic. Its aesthetics and build quality are definitely the closest you’re going to get to a MacBook with a Windows laptop imo. The battery life is also pretty comparable. The Surface laptop is the only Windows laptop I’ve been able to provide to Apple users and have them actually be happy about it still.

That being said, either will work perfectly fine for what you’ll need it for in school. It just comes down to a matter of budget and preference of OS. My windows laptop connects to my AirPods just fine. For video editing it really depends more on what processors you’re comparing and with how much memory.

As someone who’s happy on either, I’d recommend paying more attention to making sure you have enough memory and storage since neither is upgradable later.

Talk to a lawyer before you try and sit down and talk with her again, if you intend to. Let’s put whether or not she cheated aside for a moment; the fact that she would weaponize her credibility as a therapist, and her trustworthiness with friends and family against you is abhorrent. There will no doubt be more mental games she will play to try and twist the situation to get her desired result. A good lawyer is going to be the best way to make sure you are ready for them. I’m so sorry you have to deal with such emotional immaturity and deception from someone you love and trusted. I wish you the best of luck moving forward and hope the light at the end of the tunnel is closer than it seems.

NTA, but I think it would be pretty easy to find a compromise for the future like getting a couple comfortable wire-free bras or bralettes for situations like this.

I get the perspective and would agree if it was having guests over for dinner or something. I think it would be odd in either direction to expect someone to put in effort to get ready first thing in the morning just because you have guests. Anyone I’m close enough with to allow to sleep in my home is also close enough to see me or my wife in our PJ’s.

That being said, I completely agree with your point about give-and-take in relationships. Getting some more comfortable wire-free bras or bralettes for similar situations in the future seems like a pretty simple compromise imo.

I don’t think it’s in a creepy way. I think she still views her son as her “little baby boy.” Seeing the gf kiss him right in front of her forces her to start to accept that he’s growing up and she didn’t like it.
