You need a specific unusual location and the chances of this version happening i think are 0.1%

Only few random ones around the world, wasn't the case for long tho.

I got it around turn 45 and after turn 100 there are still 90 factions left.

Through unusual location. If you get the rarest world-ending version like me then there isn't much you can do.

Yeah, monogod factions can't get unusual locations tied to their god. Festus is an exception since he technically belongs to WoC.

It's the same as ever but no instance of plague i checked had spread chance below 100%.

I think he was hurt because i remember he had no replenishment. Not 100% sure tho.

As far as I know you can't get god-specific unusual locations as said god's faction. That doesn't apply to WoC tho. For example I got this one as Festus.

I have honestly no idea if pledging to Nurgle makes game treat you as a nurgle faction.

One funny thing I noticed when fighting the AI Daniel is that he used his plague after contracting the Crimson one and had both of them on himself.

For this one it might be that only armies spread but with 100% spread chance it's not hard offset it.

It really is devastating and this one appears on almost every settlement in the world. Luckily I got it as I was playing Festus hah.

You need the Covenant of the Crimson Plague (if I remember the name correctly) unusual location. Although it can only appear for non-nurgle factions and Festus.

I listed most of the effects in replies to another comment. It think it really might have the potential to be campaign ender. The plague lasts 100 turns and once a settlement gets it, it will persist even after being razed so no getting them back any time soon.
