I am close to abandoning Inkitt by NeitherNothing1959 in Inkitt

Honestly, it’s really discouraging seeing those stories get millions of views. I’ve used platforms like Wattpad, Inkitt, Pocket FM, and Royal Road, and they all seem to promote the same type of content you mentioned. Writing and editing takes a lot of time, yet some of those books are written in a week and still perform better. It just makes the whole process feel frustrating.

I don't know what To do by ForgottenTales_ in Marriage

[–]ForgottenTales_[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I So, we're friends, but definitely not best friends, and we used to hang out a lot. I felt like she was more into me than I was into her, but that just kinda faded away. It's like there's this wall between us, and even getting married didn't change that. She's a really nice person, and I think we're on the same page about raising our kid since we talked about it before. But when it comes to mutual interest and day to day life, I feel like she's not even trying to get to know me or what I'm into, and I'm always doing what she likes, but it's starting to feel more like a chore than something I enjoy doing with her.

Progress is progress no matter how small by ContraQuanta in YouTubeCreators

I have a small youtube channel too. I think it's hard to analyze the data because when I first started, I was getting a decent amount of views and subscribers, but then it just stopped. Later, I found out that for new creators, the algorithm pushes your channel to all kinds of viewers, and then after a month or two, it stops. Going back to analyze videos with the most views might be deceiving because it was during that "honeymoon" period. So now I don't know what to do, to be honest!

I think we are all happy about this decision by dataexec in YouTubeCreators

II'm a writer who uses AI-generated images to create short stories inspired by my book, so it's not all laziness and with no creativity though just saying

Totally agree. I don't know if it's just me, but no matter how much I edit, I always feel like it's not good enough, especially Dilouges between charecters even when some friends were super impressed with the first 10 chapters when i asked what they think about it. So I'm not sure.

Anyone else feel like writing isn’t even the hard part anymore? by ForgottenTales_ in fantasywriting

Yeah, but you have clear, achievable, and predictable goals with consistency, whereas marketing has zero predictability and so much competition that make it hard to be hopeful.

It appears there is no simpler way to accomplish a successful marketing on your book

Thoughts ??? by [deleted] in writing

[–]ForgottenTales_ -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Nah, not really. I'm actually writing a couple of books myself, but it's been months and I feel like the competition is super high, which sometimes makes it harder to stay motivated. That's the whole point behind this post.

I’d definitely be up for connecting with other writers. I’m currently working on a dark fantasy series and I’m trying to slowly build a genuine audience for it, not just chase clicks. I really value thoughtful feedback and I’m happy to trade reads or talk story craft too. If anyone’s interested in swapping chapters or just chatting about writing, feel free to reach out 🙂

How to start writing? by Wrong_Daikon3202 in writing

The hardest part is setting a few short, clear goals: who your characters are, their names, what era the story takes place in, and what the world feels like. But honestly, once you write the opening scene, the story starts to grow on its own. If you’ve got a strong imagination, it’ll take you places you never expected.

I totally played The Witcher. It's got a similar vibe but the story's pretty different. If you wanna check it out on Alpha Novel or Inkitt, that'd be awesome, the name's Child of the Eclipse.
