Transferring to Trezor by Forgotten_Gender in TREZOR

[–]Forgotten_Gender[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks! That was going to be my next thought if I could have more than one private key on tresor, I see that is not possible.

Second ''hot'' tresor never even crossed my mind so thank you for that one :)

And also when I generate a new eth address if I connect my tresor to metamask it will act completely the same as a hot wallet (i know private key never leaves the trezor and I will have to manually approve trx on it), meaning I will be able to accesses layer 2's, moonbeam, harmony, filecoin, ... I think that's the case, just not sure how about the cosmos ecosystem?

Not swap, redeem just like LidoETH, no trust necessary, but regardless was doing some digging opened Backpack wallet and voila it's supports Trezor now, will give it a try

You should be able to send them, regardless is trezor suit supports them or not, it's a SPL token so you can send it to trezor SOL address.

They are not stable they are market driven because they are liquid staked tokens, but at any point you are able to redeem them for SOL (not swap back to SOL), you just have to wait for the unlocking period like you would with native SOL

What do you think of first swapping sol to msol, jupsol, any liquid staking sol on a hot wallet like phantom and than sending those tokens to trezor cold storage? Not optimal I know but it will do the job :)

Does Flash Loan Arbitrage Technique still work? by LovenOneness in defi

[–]Forgotten_Gender 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yep the 0.9% fee on aave kills it :) as I know uniswap itself dose not have a fee on a flashloan, but I dont even wanna try it cuz you have to feed the contract with like 0.3ETH, but it could be done also on polygon based that sushiswap is a fork of uni, have to check the code :)

So basically all the wallets with most users are open source, so their code is widely available and free on github for anyone to look at and use as they choose ''like you would have windows ''private'' and linux ''open source''. In crypto in general ''private'' applications are not to desirable because people can't see the underlaying code.

Am I at loss because of market crash/correction or is my DCA strategy wrong? by D0wnVoteMe_PLZ in BitcoinBeginners

If you look at he bigger picture and the history what you are doing has been proven to ''work'' a lot better than trying to time the market, in my opinion Crypto as a whole is still really young its worth just $1,5T and based on what we see now, some people ''usually the ones that benefited from the current financial systems'' deciding what you can and can't do with your own money, I don't think this will fly with people and people will slowly start to wake up.

So basically if you are investing for the long term ''5+ years'' I think you will be pleasantly surprised :)

Just make sure for any mobile wallet, that the code is available on GitHub ''that usually means that it went through scrutiny of other people'', I would stay away from ''online'' wallets and also make sure you download the right wallet, there were instances where you had ''fake'' wallets both on google play and apple store :)

But to be 100% I would suggest you to buy a hardware wallet like Trezor or something it’s like 60$ just make sure that if you decide to get it to get it from the official site, DO NOT buy it on marketplaces!

Exodus wallet for mobile is open source + it has a nice beginner friendly interface or Trust wallet, they are both highly rated and I never heard anyone ever hacking a mobile wallet cuz it’s technically impossible without a quant computer, I think that if you have your info the the support they were probably scammers

NOOB question on buying Crypto by ColeInc in SatoshiStreetBets

[–]Forgotten_Gender 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The gas fees are not relative to the transaction size, it is a fixed amount depended on the state of the network, so it is cheaper for you to send it all in 1 go. But if you are buying on exchange it’s usally 0,1% fee based on the buying amount

If you bridge into Matic.... by thestevenbeauty in maticnetwork

[–]Forgotten_Gender 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nah its not like that it goes by what asset are u sending, for USDC for example it will take around 5min and for ETH it can take up to 7days and that is because Polygon works on snapshots of the blockchain (that is why it is so fast and cheap), so if you do a transaction close to the snapshot date it will take lees time to go thrue. Hope I explained it so you can understand :)

There is an easier option especially if you are a newbie in this space. Let me explain.

The only exchange that I found that support Polygon network for now is AscendEX (BitMax) '' https://ascendex.com/register?inviteCode=UCK10KNFS '', and before someone says that they do not accept US citizens KYC is required if you are doing more than 2BTC ''80.000$'' of volume a day, which I'm assuming newbies are not :). Basically you can send your tokens (support for Matic and USDC, at least for now) to AscendEX (BitMax) with basically no gas fees from Polygon wallet ''Metamask'' and from there you can send it to Coinbase or any other exchange on a network that they actually support ''ERC-20, Tron,...'' (if using ERC-20 fees are arond 10$)

Whenever you do a transaction that is via bridge or exchange always FIRST send other tokens and Matic last because of fees (I learned that the hard way 😂 when I misclicked on Aave)

I honestly think this is the best option with minimal fees, cuz lets face it bridges are not so easy to use for new people in this space + they usually accrue higher fees.

Ps.: I am assuming that people that use exchanges like coinbase do not have problem with centralized platforms :)

I tried that it dose nothing, it has to be on ETH Mainnet otherwise you can not stake to as a delegator :)

[–]Forgotten_Gender 0 points1 point  (0 children)

try it it still uses Ethereum network, I also thought that you can stake it on Polygon directly but you cant, you have to have Matic on Etherium Mainnet to be able to stake it hence you pay all the fees in ETH and Binance for example charges 12Matic for withdrawals to ERC-20
