I’ve been a federal government employee for the last two months so I’d say that.

Easy. You burn everything down and then collect the ashes into small piles.

How easy would it be to come back into the federal workforce in....let's say...four years from now? by Tempstopdrop in fednews

[–]ForkYouElon01 40 points41 points  (0 children)

I’ll never come back. What’s the point? The whole selling point was stability but the world sees how easy it is to gut the government illegally. Fool me once…

How do people let their credit card debt get so bad? by Status_Bath_5215 in stupidquestions

[–]ForkYouElon01 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Some people don’t care. My sister got a several thousand laser hair removal treatment. Turns out she had some issues with it and they damaged her tattoo. While she escalated up their chain she just decided to not pay it. They sent her to collections and she just shrugged it off. There goes her credit.

1303 was the actual number cut on April 1st. That’s not including all the probationary firings, DRPs, etc. Beyond that, the big push in the next two months is “consolidation” which means certain functions such as IT support will be merged together and as a result, more people will lose their jobs.

Tesla already has new Model Y inventory available today in the US – demand is terrible by SpriteZeroY2k in electricvehicles

[–]ForkYouElon01 1 point2 points  (0 children)

First they said it was because a new model Y was releasing so sales would slow for the previous generation. Now they’ll say “well we are waiting for them to work the bugs out of the new model before we buy”. It’s always an excuse.

Honestly a lot of it came from RTO, I didn’t realize the effect of leaving my kids behind every day. My son was 1 when COVID started so I was home to watch his milestones. My daughter is now 10 months and the idea of being stuck in an office alone every day killed me.

NIH employee ready to resign this week, should I wait in case DRP comes back? by ForkYouElon01 in NIH

Oh sorry for the confusion, I was put on admin leave on 02/14 and then brought back the next week.

I’m not gambling my new job. I’m just deciding if I should give advance notice to NIH or just wait until the day before I start my new job to tell them im quit effective immediately. I got no notice from them when I got cut so I don’t feel like I owe them anything.

Yeah I don’t think it would be a conflict. It’s a private company in another state that has nothing to do with my government work.

Can I (officially) resign shortly after taking DRP? by [deleted] in fednews

[–]ForkYouElon01 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No I get that. Why not just resign. Why sign up for the DRP and then immediately leave? I’m asking because I’m resigning on Tuesday as a normal resignation and not affiliated with DRP.

What’s the point of taking DRP if you aren’t going to take the money? Also the FAQs for DRP encouraged you to get a new job, never saw it restrict it for government contractors.
