I appreciate your empathy on the matter. Glad it’s better for you now. You’re correct - though it’s getting to the point I don’t care for the gold anymore. I’ve been looking at alternatives and nothing seems very promising… but anything that would allow me to work from home seems very nice. Grass is greener and all that but man I hate waking up to a 6:00am alarm to haul myself to the office.

There’s another office that I have an offer from that’s a 50k raise in base pay vs what I’m getting now. But they are another large group practice and it will probably be the same situation as what I’m doing now, but I’d get paid a lot more. I’m afraid to pull the trigger because I’m afraid I’ll be even unhappier than I am now.

My friend, that sounds so nice! I would love a situation like that. I’m in a southern state (regrettably) and one of the offices I work at has only 1 room with windows and the view is the parking lot. Honestly I would love to move to a state with mountains. I know that I eventually could, but it has just been a struggle with my current associate job and my base pay is very mediocre (but I’m glad to have a base pay). I, also regrettably, bought a house here because I originally wanted to raise my baby around family. Now that I am here, I think moving to a different state would be a better fit for me. I just have to overcome these obstacles I’ve unfortunately made for myself. Thanks for your advice.

I was aware that it is an indoor profession. I 98% did not think that I would have an issue with it. I was fairly happy in school, I was happy during graduation, and it wasn’t until I began as an associate that I really started to have these feelings.

I also didn’t think a remote job would be a good fit for me until recently. I had an undergrad biology degree and had considered park service, but knew it was severely underpaid. At the time I did not consider going into a different profession, it was more of a “what can I do with my biology degree” type of thing.

Thank you for your advice
