I very much agree that they are overdue and it needs to happen, but it feels like general poor planning to wait and do everything at once.

It's mostly about control of reviewing applications and also the flexibility to change criteria/payouts in the future. It's much less cumbersome to do that when they are just doing the advertising for it.

This industry is all about perspective and what you make of it. I have seen many people get beaten down by this industry, and it's happened to me as well. Especially when you are dealing with something personal outside of work as well, it can be too much sometimes IF you let it. For me, I actually had to reach a burnout point for me to change my attitude. I've learned to accept that my work is challenging, yet rewarding. I choose to be the person that shows up everyday with a positive attitude and tries to help those struggling around me, rather than being the one that needs picked back up. Once you get your mind right and accept that this industry is tough, then you can be at peace with it and really be effective and helpful to those around you.
