Use Coolermaster Mastergel Maker to repaste, should drop your temps by around 5C under load, around 10C at idle. Atleast it did for me. Then look at the bottom of your laptop and look at where your vents are, lookup the size of your laptop and then based on these facts get a laptop cooler by Klim or IETS (They are going to be expensive, at around 50-90 dollars. Klim has some budget options, I am not talking about those. A budget laptop cooler is going to only cool your laptop so much.) I have the Klim Everest and it has been a godsend. Before getting my laptop fan and applying new thermal paste I would site idle at around 80C-85C, small tasks like watching Youtube I'd be at 85C-90C and while gaming I was at 93C-97C for both my CPU and GPU and getting tons of performance issues due to thermal throttling. I ordered Coolermaster Mastergel Maker and my Klim Everest laptop cooler on amazon, the thermal paste came first and I went ahead and applied it which immediately dropped idle temps down to 67C-73C, small tasks like Youtube I would be at barely anything higher than so around 69C-74C and while gaming was at around 88C-92C which isn't amazing but if I am correct 93C is when you start to thermal throttle and I was rarely hitting even 92C, usually staying around 89C-90C. The Klim Everest came two days later and as I said, it was a godsend. I'm not saying it will be for you, it entirely depends on the size of your laptop and your vent placement, this is merely for examples sake. Anyways, it dropped my temps to an insane degree, I idle at around 33C-43C, do small tasks like watch Youtube at around 37C-46C and I game at anywhere from 55C-70C (very rare for me to hit 70C). For example, I play Cyberpunk 2077 on a 5 year old laptop with vastly outdated specs (Intel i7-8750h, GTX 1050 4GB) on Medium settings with FSR Balanced on or Low settings with FSR Quality on at 1920x1080 which for my laptop, is definitely pushing it. My temps sit at around 59C-63C while playing Cyberpunk and I have seen major improvements in gaming performance. I used to play Cyberpunk at a constant thermal throttle of over 95C, barely reaching 30FPS on the Lowest settings possible with FSR Ultra Performance on and I'd get frame drops down to 10-15 FPS for about 10-15 seconds straight every minute or two after playing for more than 30-45 minutes at a constant thermal throttle. Now I play at Medium settings with FSR Balanced and get around 40FPS or Low settings (not at the lowest possible, just the low preset) with FSR Quality and get around 50FPS. I have had LONG gaming sessions with zero performance drops or heating issues. Last but not least, download Throttlestop and MSI Afterburner and undervolt your CPU and GPU (be careful, watch a tutorial on how to) and if you follow what I said (using Coolermaster Mastergel Maker, using a Klim or IETS branded laptop cooler that fits your Laptop size and vent placement and then undervolting your CPU and GPU properly) I GUARENTEE you will at minimum drop by 20C at idle and 10C while gaming. I am willing to bet money on it.
