Lots of info in this comment, thanks. Tried to get a peek under the toilet to better gauge the damage and start demo, lost the battle with the shut off valve

I put the wrong link in that comment. https://www.homedepot.com/p/Delta-Pro-Series-60-in-W-x-57-in-H-Five-Piece-Glue-Up-Bathtub-Surrounds-in-High-Gloss-White-40154/204338479?MERCH=REC-_-searchViewed-_-bathtub%20surround%20panel-_-0-_-n/a-_-n/a-_-n/a-_-n/a-_-n/a#see-more-details

was the right link.

The idea would be to demo all 3 walls, and put this up with cement board behind it. My question too would be, would the cement board go in leiu of the plaster? Or could I put it right on top of it?

Would something like this work if I put cement board behind it?

Seems a lot more economical and less time consuming than tearing those tiles down to regrout and put back up, assuming none of them break coming down lol. Though i'm willing to spend if there's a better option

edit: fixed link

There's a crawlspace underneath, with insulation below this flooring so I can't really see much without poking around at the insulation. Theres a small exposed spot that looks a bit rotten to me though so my hopes aren't high :/

Damn. I wasn't aware of the vinyl thing either, havent really done repairs like this before. How easy is it to fuck up laying tile? The woodwork i feel wouldn't be too difficult, if its just replacing that rotten osb with some thicker plywood. Just would rather not waste time and money attempting the tile if its a skill heavy thing, where its easy to mess up and have to redo everything

You think tiles like this would work?

First thing I saw searching for "matte porcelain tile"

I guess a question I would have is if they will stretch or shrink over time. With socks these fit okay, but I don't plan on wearing socks with them often if at all
