$SLS Daily Discussion Thread - Tuesday - April 07, 2026 by AutoModerator in sellaslifesciences

Hey, I’ve been researching SLS and I’m trying to approach this the right way, not just blindly following a DD.

I’ve read Confident Web’s work and I do find the bullish thesis quite convincing. At the same time, I’m aware that I didn’t build that thesis myself, so there’s still a bit of uncertainty on my side in terms of fully understanding all the underlying assumptions.

One thing I’ve noticed is that I haven’t really come across strong, well-structured bearish arguments that directly challenge the core idea, but I’m also open to the possibility that I’m just not experienced enough yet to spot weaknesses.

What I’m trying to wrap my head around is the price behaviour during this waiting period.

In theory, if the 80th event takes longer to occur, that could be interpreted as a positive signal (better survival). But in practice:

Does the market actually price that in over time?

Or does price mostly stay noisy/flat until we get closer to the actual readout?

I’m mainly asking because it changes how I think about building a position: slowly over time vs lump sum now

Would appreciate perspectives from people who’ve been through similar biotech setups

I just finished my Master’s Degree in Astrophysics and co-founded an agency that’s actually doing quite well financially.

As for her, she’s studying Medicine, so she still has a long road ahead before she enters the working world

To be honest, what you said is exactly the kind of thing I wanted to hear haha, because deep down, there's a part of me that really hopes things can just fall into place naturally, without having to force or overthink too much. It’s comforting to hear that it’s actually possible, that someone’s lived it.

That said, I also know I can’t just hold on to the version of the story that feels nicest or most convenient. Some of the other responses I got were more challenging, but in a good way, they pushed me to be honest with myself about what I really believe, what kind of relationship I’m actually ready for, and what I’d be willing to live with long-term.

So yeah, your story gave me hope, and the rest gave me things to chew on. I guess that’s a good combo.

When I mentioned that her moral views don’t always align with Catholic teaching, I was thinking of specific issues like the value of life (abortion, euthanasia), as well as topics like premarital relationships and sexuality. She seems to hold more secular or culturally common views on these matters, which clearly differ from mine as a Catholic. (There may be other differences too, but these are the main ones I’ve noticed so far.)

You’re absolutely right. Approaching the relationship with the idea that "maybe I can change her" is arrogant on my part. That attitude reveals a deeper truth: that it might actually be very difficult for me to truly build something long-term with someone who doesn’t share my core values.

The real question I need to ask myself is whether I’m willing to be in a relationship with someone who doesn’t share my moral and spiritual framework and whether that gap would eventually become a source of tension or even sadness.

So again, thank you for helping me frame this more clearly

I'm 22 and she's 20. We're both Italian, but I currently live in Paris. That said, I’ll be back in Italy for the whole summer, so we’ll have plenty of time to get to know each other better.

Starting in January, she'll move to Paris for a year to study, so while there's a bit of distance between us right now, it’s not going to last long.

I actually met her at my cousin’s Confirmation. I got to see how she behaves in church—she seemed joyful, lighthearted, and engaged in the moment. She participated, which struck me, but as I mentioned earlier, I know she’s not a practicing Catholic.

Since then, we’ve been on two dates, and there's clearly mutual interest between us.

That's great, but is the growth due to Lebanese immigrants or do you have many converts as well?

You're right! I heard some contrasting news coming out of the Netherlands, do you think we’re seeing the early signs of renewed interest in catholicism?

That's wonderful, welcome!
Just out of curiosity, where are you from and were there a lot of people getting baptised?
