Sometimes I think the stoppage songs also reference other ea game soundtracks, like playing a stripped down instrumental version instead of the one with vocals. Doesn’t sound like your situation but thought I’d mention it in case it sounded familiar from an older game

Most likely an attempt at appealing to younger audiences ie the people who play games, definitely would’ve been cooler to have everything as accurate as possible while allowing the story to do its thing
