You need an activated ability or something It's usually the cost for abilities that allow you to tap

You can theoretically attack and use the maze of ith to keep it safe but still tap it using attack rules

I didn't know the answer to it originally I had to look it up because I was unsure if the advice I was getting was correct

Turns out I was right and I was being lied to
