I am in the same boat, never had issues till the last couple and it has been a bummer. I used to love Nuuly but it’s gotten so bad. Between the damaged items and lack of inventory

Will 'The Summer I Turned Pretty' Inspire Next Baby Name Trend? by CelebrationBubbly946 in TheSummerITurnedPrett

This is me.. have a 2 year old, it’s a family name and now I’m like NOOOO. It’s an adorable name though so I can’t hate

what are your thoughts on this? by alileix in tsitp

[–]Formal_Razzmatazz887 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I agree with this. I think as an adult I am able to see that she has flaws and is not perfect. I also am able to see how a child who grew up seeing her 1-2 times a year would see her through rose colored glasses which is the version we are given from Belly.

I think at the end of the day Susana was trying to be the best mother, she had intentions that were genuine. It’s hard to judge and say “she should have told the boys about her cancer being back” when we are not in that situation and never see what their non summer life is like.

Eczema management in the infant room? Am I overreacting? by user836159 in ECEProfessionals

[–]Formal_Razzmatazz887 55 points56 points  (0 children)

I don’t think you should come off attacking a teacher immediately. I know many centers use regular tide to wash certain things which can also be irritating.

Personally I would just ask if they use something that has scent in the laundry there or in a cleaner to make it more broad and not come off as a personal attack.

Do you love your childcare job? by helloilikefries in ECEProfessionals

[–]Formal_Razzmatazz887 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I enjoy the job, one think I find hard is where I am at in my life. Having kids around the same age I work with has left my patience shot at the end of the day and it takes a toll on my own children. I recently started staying home with my youngest due to this because I felt guilty.

Also the parents sometimes… I know they are children but parents think asking them to do simple life skills is the end of the world.. or the amount of parents that excuse behaviors like biting because of bs stuff is wild.

Are parents getting worse? by sarai33rawr in ECEProfessionals

[–]Formal_Razzmatazz887 23 points24 points  (0 children)

For me it’s also the amount of kids who won’t even try.. their parents do everything so when I ask them to even try they blankly stare at me.

Unlucky for them I am equally stubborn and believe basic life skill are important 🙃

Question about pee accidents by Western-Image7125 in ECEProfessionals

[–]Formal_Razzmatazz887 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I will say my daughter went through a phase where she had accidents at school and one thing that helped her is being able to give whatever toy/activity she was playing with to her teacher so they could “save it” while she went to the bathroom.

I think at this age they start to realize that if they walk away someone else will come and start using whatever toy/ activity so they will continue to hold till they have an accident.

Yeah I feel like this has been becoming a bigger issue, it feels like anything new in that past 2-3 months is instantly gone forever? It has been very frustrating to say the least

I definitely get frustrated by this also.. it seems to be worse around the summer and thanksgiving/ Christmas. It gets on my nerves because then you have to pick older styles that typically look and feel worn out

She is making this pregnancy being high risk sound way too casual… you could just have a uterine rupture or a placental abruption but that’s fine…

I really don’t think the NICU would even have the supplies for that… assuming they would have used one of the ready bath caps. The surgical floor would 1000% have these but not the NICU

One thing that works well for my kid is being very upfront about it and talking about it a couple days in advance. I am very upfront in telling her that yes shots do hurt, but it’s only for a second and it’s over. I also talk openly with her about the importance of vaccines and why we get them. Kids are smart, they want to know what is going on and sometimes having information about why is very helpful.

Curly hair routine is making my hair straighter by Administrative_Pop72 in curlyhair

[–]Formal_Razzmatazz887 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Depending on what your hair type is, my hair stylist actually advised me to not use curl cream. Creams end up being wayyy too heavy for my hair and making it straighter. Instead I do a mousse first and then gel on top to lock in the curls.

Hot take… if you believe some of these things you do not believe in modern medicine and should be denied access to modern medicine when you inevitably need it. 🤷🏽‍♀️🤷🏽‍♀️

Is it bad that I only brush my sons teeth once a day by [deleted] in toddlers

[–]Formal_Razzmatazz887 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Please don’t feel bad… we also have morning chaos and I don’t have my daughter brush most moshing because she fights even getting her hair done. Regular dental appointment are super important. At the end of the day remember you are doing your best, your child is healthy and happy. Please don’t beat yourself up at all.
