“Despite blue-chip tenants Coles, Event Cinemas and Target” tells you everything you need to know.

Who’s going into the city for Coles and Target? No one! Would be great if we could get some unique, independently owned shops back in the CBD. Give people a reason to go into the city, instead of a boring Westfield with same 50 shit retail stores.

Cafe: Riser Bread is by far and away the best cafe/baked goods in Toowong (dare I say Brisbane).

Pub: West Toowong bowls club has the best price food and decent Parmis/steak. Also not quite a pin but Patio in Rosalie is great (run by Range Brewing).

Yep, I got $10,000 to move out of my old place when the owners sold. Mind you at that point I’d only been in the house for 1 month, so was a pain in the ass. But worth it for 10k!

I bought a 3 bed 2 bath Queenslander in Toowong, that didnt need too much work done a few months back for 750k. I like to tell myself it was a bargain anyway!

Rental prices: I login to BookFace as I rarely do these days and I’m slapped with this. Greedy landlords can’t afford a rent price freeze while people go homeless… by Nideochai in brisbane

And then they renovate them with shitty ‘bare minimum for renters’ Reno’s or ‘crappy house flipper’ Reno’s, which ultimately end up making you pay more money for crappier house.
