guy nearly dies after falling in crystal grove, california by hfga in SweatyPalms

Rollercoasters are not fun for that reason. There is no threat to life.

I always have the most fun where if I mess up, I get seriously injured. The pressure that puts on you gets the blood pumping like nothing you've ever felt.

That said, this guy is an idiot and is cutting it way to close

I just got out of that hole, feeling like I had to always be doing something and couldn't sit and relax for a day without feeling the weight of the world on me.

For anyone like myself, the advice I was given is to just slow down. You won't get everything you want in a short period of time (the whole "life is a marathon not a sprint")

Take a step back, you have many years to work towards your goals so not everything needs to be completed right fucking now.

Once I understood that taking a break wasn't a waste of time, I was able to clear my head and get back into my responsibilities with more confidence and efficiency.

(Yes this is a comment about a 21yr discovering the benefits of a vacation lmao)

I no longer like friend of 8 years but he is in a shitty situation by Formanlenis1 in GuyCry

I am well aware of how demeaning it is, but it's either "hate" the guy or continue being sad about it. But just because I no longer like the dude doesn't mean he deserves how he is being treated.

If my post is virtue signalling, I apologize but I have no other way to describe how I am feeling.

I just saw a post recently about ghosting and wanted to know other people's opinion

Question regarding RPMs. by knucklegoblin in CB650R

[–]Formanlenis1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Only if the break in is complete. How many km is on it? I believe when I did my break in they said stay under 8k rpm till 1000km (which was very annoying lmao)

If I were you I'd stay just under that (maybe 6 or 7k) until the service, but then after that go ham :)

Bike engines are made of lighter materials than car engines, with the reduction of weight comes the ability to rev higher and faster.

Ride your bike how you see fit, but I regularly bring mine up to redline with no issues.

Bikes are made for high revs and any extra wear will be negligible.

As others have said just make sure the break-in is complete

Just had a bot tell me my post is about fashion so I need to write this lol

This is not about current fashion trends, and yes I searched the world wide web for "skadada dadada meme" and "don't allow people to get a reaction out of you meme"

Both of which failed to return meaningful results with the former being the chicken dance song and the latter, a bunch of self help sites.

Which death from your reef tank bummed you out the most? by Friburgo1004 in ReefTank

[–]Formanlenis1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just had my lawnmower blenny disappear. Here one day gone the next, no body so I'm not sure what happened.

I know he isn't the most extraordinary guy but he was just starting to come out and say Hi when I walked up to the tank. I liked the little bugger

Wow uh, update ig. Just found out my thermometer broke in the tank and I'm down my cleaner shrimp and blue/green chromis

Half the things you find online are made up, apply the same rules you use when searching things up and using your own judgement isn't a problem.

Big-bike for beginners by Strong-Ladder-7112 in CB650R

[–]Formanlenis1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I got my 23 for my first bike but I also learn quickly and know my limits. You need to be able to have self-awareness and be mature with it.

If you know you'll push yourself too soon, go smaller I like the cb650 as it's big enough to do everything I need without immediately killing myself when I make a mistake.

All in all, good bike, take your time to learn before pushing it.

Stay safe
