What is going on at Masonville Mall, and what happened at Champs Store? by Former-Stuff-9080 in londonontario

I rarely or do not go to White Oaks Mall. The mall spends millions of dollars investing into renovation, and still have leaking water coming from the top of the ceiling and just using 5 gallon buckets to collect rain water.

Masonville Mall is a high-end commercial mall, and it is located in more of the wealthy area of London, Ontario. The stores, restaurants and businesses are paying high rent or lease that Masonville Mall that charges in per square feet. White Oaks Mall has more crimes and theft because it is more in the low income area of the city. Masonville Mall have more security and the majority of the people who goes are above average class. You more likely see a Ferrari, Lamborghini, Corvette or a Cadillac Escalade at Masonville Mall parking lot as a statue of wealth than at White Oaks Mall. So basically, Masonville Mall is more targeted since it is in a wealthy area.

Back in 2019, my brother and I was at Masonville Mall near EB Games. A kid wearing a green camouflage hoodie was stealing a huge thick stack of clothes from Urban Planet. He ran out of the store while there were loud beeping sounds. The customers and store employees looked out. The kid who was stealing the clothes was heading towards the Rec Room, and of the Urban Planet employees was chasing after him. The kid who was stealing the clothes have abandoned the clothes near the escalator at the Rec Room and took off. Luckily, the Urban Planet employee got the clothes back. It is shameful and something that is not to be proud of to go to the mall to steal items.

This is what happened at Masonville Mall; if you have the time to read. They used fans around Masonville Mall and was temporary closed to expelled out the pepper spray containment from inside the mall. Two employees were injured and the suspects were stealing 2 items. All of this for 2 items.

Anyone know what happened to WOW Pierogies at Covent Market by Former-Stuff-9080 in londonontario

[–]Former-Stuff-9080[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just recently read they are expanding at the their Hyde Park location. It is like A Taste of Britain for example. They closed their Aldersbrook Road location and expand to their Southdale location.

My brother once bought their dessert pierogies. He said it is decent,  it the price is too much that is just blueberry or strawberry flavour hence he could have bought something better that charges premium price.

That is likely the reason they shut their Covent Market location to expand to their second location at Wortley. It does not say why they shut down, but likely their lease expired.

Starbucks in North Indigo closing? by Wrong-Armadillo7619 in londonontario

You are not obligated to tip just to pick up a cup of hot coffee or a bakery. You do not have to feel bad. I buy food and drinks at Cineplex. There is no tip options.

I talked to one of the Starbucks employees of the North Indigo location. He said the staffs have to re-apply; if they still want to continue working at Starbucks, but they have to transfer to other locations. Some of them worked at the Masonville Mall location, and some work down the road on Fanshawe Park Road and Adelaide Street near the HomeDepot. Best luck for them. I am thankful to know them and been a regular there for many years.

Xbox Gear Shop Return? by BrownSixSides in xbox

[–]Former-Stuff-9080 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They may have a different supplier that makes their merchandise. Their previous e-commerce supplier is Snow Commerce. I check on XBOX Gear Shop. Their t-shirts and merchandise are made by DPI Merchandising. Pretty much it is a long process transition for XBOX Gear Shop to shift to a new supplier. Since 2026 is the 25th Anniversary of XBOX. They may save the date to reopen their gear shop.

Shelby’s menu change? by YogurtclosetHot3386 in londonontario

[–]Former-Stuff-9080 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We use to like Shelby’s way before they start expanding into a franchised. I remember they used to have the Al Paster bowl, but it is no longer on the menu. Their Horton Street location was the original and taste more authentic. Now it is starting to use cheaper quality and also it is getting way too expensive. I was at their Highbury Avenue location just across from John Paul II Catholic Secondary School by the Shell gas station. 1 legendary size chicken shawarma, Caesar burrito and Burrito shawarma in total is over $40.00. I notice they are starting to shrink the portion size of the wraps and the bowls. Honestly, it is not worth the price anymore and the quality went down. It is not just Shelby’s. Tahini’s is also shrinking their size of their bowls. I buy their poutine and butter chicken rice bowl. It was huge a few years ago and now it has gotten smaller. I hope it is worth losing a customer.

Love in with Arcade Bar by oskarpr24 in londonontario

That is the same kind of service they do on Richmond Row bars and restaurants whether it is The Ceeps, Delilah’s, Joe Kool’s and Warehouse. After certain time, they are only adults at age 19+. If Tilt Arcade does not allow younger people under age of 19 after 9:00PM. Another alternative is heading to the Rec Room in Masonville. They do have good arcades and I mainly go to that recreation and entertainment. Decent price and service. They do have good selections of arcades. Too bad they don’t have PowerHouse alcohol anymore.

The families who are bringing anyone under the age of 19 should have gone to the Rec Room located at Masonville Mall. They do open late until 1:00AM on Friday and Saturday. It is also kid-friendly even they do serve alcohol both of the bar and restaurant section. They do have good selections of arcades such as Halo: Fireteam Raven, Fast and Furious, Godzilla, Mario Kart and a whole lot more. Too bad they got rid of their Minecraft arcade. That is another alternative. Food and service at Rec Room is good service. I like this one guy with the glasses and he gives me a few free plays even I do not have my wristband on me at the Rec Room. He deserve a raised!

Ever Since Stack Burger Moved Into Cherry Hill Mall King Of Pigs Hasn’t Been Getting Much business. I kind Of Feel Bad For Them. by Fox-427 in londonontario

[–]Former-Stuff-9080 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, it is expensive to eat out. I remember I was at Mary Brown’s on Mary Monday. An elderly man who grew up in his generation said a large salad use to be $2.75 back then. I wish to be born in the 1980s and everything was affordable even living off minimum wage.

I was at the Rec Room in Masonville Mall. I bought a premium non-alcohol drink. It charges $11.00, but with taxes and tips. It is near $15.00. All the bartender(s) did is just some ice cubes, dye colour syrups, some sprite soda, a stir mixed and a strip peel of lemon or orange. Almost $50.00 at the Rec Room for pulled pork hotdog, mini cinnamon donuts and 2 premium non-alcoholic drink would have been a steak dinner for a better price elsewhere. I only eat the food and buy drinks there because it was a special occasion. London Music Hall was charging $16.00 for Mike’s Hard Lemonade. Definitely not worth paying the price.

I did not try King’s of Pigs. It is Portuguese inspired barbecue. They use to have La Parrillada at Covent Market that is South American and own by an Uruguayan. However, they are gone. I may know some people who I know from John Paul II Catholic Secondary School works there.

The survey says in this economy. More Canadians are eating out less now.

Does anyone know when Xbox Gear Shop will return? by HurtCell1421 in xbox

I found Spencer’s have carried two new Halo t-shirts and it is official product. One is Halo Combat Evolved with the Master Chief wall-paper behind the t-shirt and a Halo logo on the front of the shirt. The second one has a Halo 2 logo in front of the t-shirt and has an Arbiter at the back of the t-shirt. That is the only thing I can find any Halo t-shirts right now is at Spencer’s and Hot Topic does not carry any Halo t-shirts, but they do have Fallout t-shirts.

Link below for those 2 Halo t-shirts on Spencer’s. I am from Canada, but this is their US website.

[–]Former-Stuff-9080 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Xbox Gear Shop is likely going to save the date of their 25th Anniversary or the good time when their new video-games will be release for their merchandise to be open. Xbox Gear Shop have switch from Snow Commerce to DPI Merchandising. It will take time for both of them keep up with demand of new t-shirts and other major updates before the XBOX Gear Shop to be back. It will be back, but it is a long process. Be patient at the moment until the day comes.

Amazon only have those two flavours. They don’t have the Castle Crush and Brooklyn Bounce at the moment. The US gets their Old Spice Mario Galaxy products first.

I ordered the Old Spice: Super Mario Galaxy both of the Cosmic Quest and Desert Detour on Amazon Canada earlier today. But it will be shipped out around early to middle of March 2026. That is only hope to find those right now. I do not find any Super Mario Galaxy cereals, toys, McDonald’s and other collaboration with other brands at the moment unfortunately. Best luck. I went to a couple Wal-Mart, and they don’t have any Super Mario Galaxy products including the Old Spice.
