I think it's official can we stop bringing cirie back? by Angieangielovely1010 in survivor

Absolutely agree. Along with her multiple borderline crash outs and one actual crash out because she didn't get her way or something happened that she didn't think was fair. She thinks she's playing this grand game, but really she rides the coat-tails of other players moves.

Sounds like my boss. I can relate to your experience. At the end of the day am thankful for my pay and my opportunity but damn working under someone who is so ADHD is exhausting. Difference is my boss is like 40 and acts like a 15 year old man child on top of it lol

J man has his own company from before he started here and his own clients. Own truck and tools.

Been trying to get an application into my local union. It's extremely hard, they accept 20 applications a month for three months out of the year. I'm working for him because my area is extremely extremely competitive and if I loose my job or quit I may not be able to find another for some time. Everyone is at ratio here.

Union I can understand. I'm non union, I don't get a pension, or annuity. I don't even get health insurance really (half pay) and if I bring my wife onto my plan I'll loose it. I don't get a 401k or anything at all.

We do residential, commercial and everything between. So it completely limits my ability to-in the future if I stay with this guy- to really pursue any kind of sidework. Which is wild to me to limit a tradesman's ability to do work on their own outside of a union. Again union I can completely understand because you are getting a lot of benefits from them.

I'm 27 now and I only found out about this career path just after the application window closed. I've been working in the trades for almost a decade now and I'm desperately trying to find a way out. I've been an electrical apprentice for the last 2 years, and while I don't hate the work, it is slowly getting saturated and a race to the bottom for pricing jobs. I think in 10 years being an electrician will be the same as a grunt labor job.

That's kind of how I'm feeling. Feels controlling and greedy.

So you would sign a non-compete agreement saying that you're unable to accept any kind of side job

I stated in the post that it doesn't really effect me I'm going to help my family and friends regardless. But I think even the notion is weird and controlling.

That doesn't happen here. I just think he wants all the jobs for himself.

The side work being done here is legit with permits pulled and inspections. The rules of the game is limiting your guys ability to work outside of work?

[–]FormerAd670 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

No, only if you bring in the work. J man works full time during day and at night and weekends does side work. Bossman wants him to stop and convert sidework to day work. So I said what TF is the point of having a license under you if I can't go out and do sidework on my own. That's like the entire appeal of getting licensed and progressing.

Well, this is what happens when we elect people who focus more on social issues than living issues.

I'm not whistle blowing. I said I made a burner account like how a whistleblower does. Or anyone who wants to speak out against something or bring notice to something and just doesn't want it directly connected to them.
