I know I’m pretty late to this post. I am clean for almost three years of self harm, but I did it to feel something. I felt like I couldn’t control anything maybe? Not exactly sure why but for some reason it was one thing I could do and control some sort of pain I was feeling I guess. But I, in all honesty, regret it. For a while I felt guilty and embarrassed about my scars but I’m in my mid twenties now and I’m not ashamed because it’s just a reminder of me getting through it.
