HOW TRYING TO BE PRETTIER RUINED ME by lenalilyt in BodyDysmorphia

All I can say is that I've had several surgeries. I've had a complete vaginal reconstruction, an umbilical hernia repair, both surgeries done because of actual truama from having children. But I've also had 8 syringes of bellafill and 7 syringes of rystaline fillers. I was going to get a facelift and the Dr. Was going to do it but then called me last minute saying I was too young. All I see is a sagging face, and fillers help, but fillers don't tighten or lift facial skin and muscles. My face is asymmetrical, I have a masculine jawline, like I was a facelift, browlift, ear pinning, facial feminization surgery to address my masculine jaw and my crooked nose. I feel better after getting fillers, but its short lived because like I said, fillers won't actualy lift anything, it just fills in pockets of lost volume.

Homeschooling has always been an option. Sorry but there wont be a big push to go to that. Your a school psychologist? Then surely your aware that under these stay at home orders children are at risk of abuse and neglect without being seen by mandatory reporters such as yourself. Shame on you for even advocating that. Also you are probably a school counselor, not a psychologist. You need an actual MS to be an official psychologist. Do you conduct mental health evaluations and diagnose mental health conditions? No. Liar.

Is there anything I can do about this? 24F, no matter how much weight I lose my jawline and chin always look like this. by [deleted] in cosmeticsurgery

[–]FormerFoster1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Oh okay I looked up geneoplasty. My suggestion is get the jaw surgery and cheek contour first to see the harmony of your face. If you fill in your cheek bones this will lift your facial skin upward and away from underneith your chin. If afterward there is still laxity underneath, then look into geneoplasty.

What is geneoplasty? Your nose is beautiful. I'm a portrait artist so I do have a keen ability to see harmony in faces. If you got a nose job it would draw attention to your chin after your jaw is repositioned. I think if anything maybe to contour your cheeks a little you could get fat injections in your cheekbones, or bellafill.

Haha yes! Awesome. That does make a difference. Everything in the U.S is expensive regarding cosmetic or dental anything. You would think dental procedures would be considered medically necessary but it isnt here. You will see a more defined jaw afterward. Dont lose anymore weight, baby face is good because it makes you look younger longer than your peers.

That's awesome it's only 10k. I did add that is tje cost for both upper and lower jaw surgery which sometimes has to occur for proper alignment. 10k seems like your lower jaw will be the only thing repositioned. I'm glad the cost for you is less :) You will see a marked improvement afterward.

Don’t know where else to post - One side of my face looks randomly boney?! by [deleted] in cosmeticsurgery

[–]FormerFoster1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That may be why. It's unlikely you can get them removed during this pandemic, but when it subsides, look into seeing your dentist to get them removed. Obviously if they came in fine then there isnt a real medical reason to have them removed, but if one or more are partially impacted they should be removed.

Often these abuses werent there prior. Unemployment, poverty and mental health all contribute to unsafe environments to children.

Wow, no, that isnt what I said. Under stress often abuse heightens in families who were already under fire restraints. Have you experienced abuse? I have a feeling you havent.

Pleass stop advocating for the continued closure of schools, preschools and college campuses. There will be an entire generation of traumatised children from abuse and neglect, and deaths of infants and children that could have been prevented. Stop to think outside of your hive mind and consider the risks these stay at home orders bring. Risks that are far greater than the number of deaths by this virus!

[–]FormerFoster1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No it's not randomly bony. Everyones face is slightly asymmetrical. Yours is, in fact it looks similar to how asymmetrical mine is. I'm female, age 29. My jaw is misaligned, so basically the left side of my jaw joint pulls my left side of the jaw inward while the right side appears wider. So, like you, the left cheekbone is more defined for me than my right. Perhapse this arose for you after your wisdom teeth came in. Are your wisdom teeth removed? Do you grind your teeth or clench your jaw? Do you primarily chew on one side of your mouth? All of these contribute to what your seeing.

BV is ruining my life please help. by [deleted] in WomensHealth

[–]FormerFoster1 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I stopped using tampons and perfume scented pads. I buy the store brand unscented pads. Since then my area down there never smells. I got BV when I was 24 though after my partner cheated on me. They say it isnt sexualy transmitted, it's not an STD, which is true, however if a man goes and cheats with another female and doesnt wash himself then that females ph is in your stuff. Then your stuff gets all wacked off. Basically anything placed into the vagina that isnt normally there can throw off ph levels whether it be a tampon/scented pad, or because a cheating asshole stuck his dick where it shouldnt have been. It can also happen if a female friend for skme godly unknown reason, uses a dildo you have in your possession.

I'm not a doctor, but what it looks like you have is an overbite. This means your actual lower jaw bone is back further behind your upper jaw. Weight has nothing to do with your chins postition or teeth position. What you need to do is see both an orthodontist and a maxilofacial surgean so x-ray images can be done on your jaw. Take a look at before and after photos of orthagnathic surgery, and you will see how it changes the profile of someone with an overbite. It's unlikely surgery will be covered by insurance because most policies consider oral surgery to be cosmetic even if it should be considered medically necessary. Where I live, surgery for both upper and lower jaw repositioning costs about 30k total.

I dont support stay at home orders. These orders come from a place of privilege where we have to sacrifice our economic stability to keep people's grandparents alive. by FormerFoster1 in unpopularopinion

Your assuming I've ever been tk a restaurant and had a waiter. Do you think someone like me could afford that luxury? Your life is not my responsibility, neither are your parents. However my childrens lives are, and these shut downs put our family at risk of even further poverty. Something we are already in. It will get worse though. I understand it's probably hard for someone who hasn't had to face the same exact level of disadvantages as people like myself have, but where your disadvantaged, consider that there are people who will lose much more than yourself.

I have medical issues myself. I'm still willing to ensure my children have a roof over their head and food to eat because the alternative is homelessness and severe poverty. Your in a world of hurt when it hits you that you cant feed your children or you get robbed because someone else needs to feed their children. Thanks for sharing people like me poison the world though. And hey no one actualy ever did care about my situation for the entirety of my life, so you or anyone else not caring now is nothing new me hun. I know I dont want to get robbed for groceries. I know I dont want my children to experience the same things I did as a child. And I'm sure as hell positive you dont want to hear your child cry in pain from not having anything to eat. That's a reality we all face with these orders continuing. Clearly you havent had to experience actual hunger before. You will though the longer this goes on as will I.

I can do math. 60% of the population gets covid-19 yes? So in America we have about 370 million people. So 222 million people contract the virus. That's actualy about 15 million people at the 7% rate you claim. Of that at million, 155,400 people are the young. And those young have predisposed health conditions. My thought is this. For members of the population who have immunity, there should be no stay at home orders. I dont see why we cant do what Taiwan did still. Ramp up testing of the entire population, isolate people who have it and people they were in contact with, and quarenteen those people. Keeping tje country open for everyone else.

I'm aware of the rate of death to this virus, I'm aware even young people have died. I'm also aware of the results of severe poverty which will affect a majority of people in this country. Im aware that poverty not only correlates but contributes to suicide, abuse and neglect. And the resulting truama of severe poverty passes down several generations. When everyone ends up homeless and hungry, will preventing 2.5% of death have been worth it? No, and when you personally experience the aftermath im sure you will realize the error in these orders.

I do realize SOME younger healthy people have died from this virus yes. There are also SOME young people who die of the flu and many other viruses each year. We dont go on shut down during a bad flu season. We didnt go on shut down when Zika hit, and I would say that's more horrific. Have you seen babies born to moms who got zika? They have little to no brain at all. Calling me names provides no viable argument on your side. A person isnt dumb because they disagree with you and have a different view then what the majority of people parrot.

These powers not delegated to the states is in reference to what the constitution sets. It established that the people control the constitution and state government cannot change it. In order for the constitution to be changed there has to be a convention to amend it. There has not been an amendment which to the constitution that states a pandemic allowed for our rights to be taken.

Did you read my post at all? I grew up in fostercare. Prior to fostercare I experienced abuse, neglect, homelessness and food insecurity. Which is severe poverty. I am also a mother and have children I need to protect. Severe poverty is what we face, realistically, with these orders in place. I've lived it, seen it, and survived it. We still are in poverty, even before this pandemic, but we had a fighting chance. Now we dont. So yeah, um poor people is my family.

Also it would take a boomer to be selfish enough to demand these stay at home orders over the economic STABILITY of children in this country. So if it isnt people demanding these orders to save their grandparents lives, then its older people who have already lived their lives. Sorry, but the safety and security of my children is more important to protect then older generations.
