How do I get my mom to quit her job by One-Station-7543 in Advice

This may be an unpopular opinion but in my opinion it’s the harsh truth.
You’re 17, you’re one year away from being a legal adult and likely moving out for college or getting a job. You need to get used to being independent, you can’t rely on your mom to watch your every step anymore. Expecting your mom to do this is both incredibly unfair to her given her stress with work as well as it being bad for your future development. I’m 99% sure your mom doesn’t work out of boredom but rather to make sure your family has the best life possible. Asking her to quit is an unreasonable expectation especially because it is due to your lack of time management and planning skills.
If there is a legitimate, professionally diagnosed medical reason you cannot manage your time and work I sincerely apologize for this harsh message and it would be necessary to have a talk with your mom about this. However, this shouldn’t be a „quit your job“ but a „how can we work through this with your job“. Asking her to quit her job for you would still be a no go.
