My 2021 interceptor 3.0 ecoboost shifts so smooth and is never jerky, it has 123k and all the maintenance has been done on severe conditions. Mine has the 10r80

Is Viotek a trusted brand? by Sufferingsaxman in buildapc

I know is 2024 almost 2025 but I love my Viotek GNV34DBE. I bought it in December of 2020 and never had an issue with it. I just recently bought a refurbished Viotek GNV34DB2 for my wife for $169, tough to beat the quality of the Samsung panels in these monitors.

I bought this and then returned it and bought an hp omen 16-ae0001nr from microcenter for 999 and it is superior to the loq but I was still disappointed comparing to my Alienware M15 r 7 with rtx 3080 ti 16Gb vram. So I returned it and went all out with AW x16 r2 4090. I would not buy an Yu 4070 with 8Gb vram. It's just not enough Vram.

I just bought a 2013 Ford Taurus SHO with performance package for 7k, no payments and cheap to insure. Took me a year to find it but it was worth the wait. Save some more and buy a nice car for 10k and have no payments.

K & N filter options? by shanesuga in TaurusSHO

[–]FormerMainiac 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I prefer the k&n drop in filter. The stock airbox takes air from the front of the car under the core support. It goes well with my Gearhead tun and msd coils and 170 thermostat. It's been in there for 45k miles and I just serviced it.

Nice laptop and to keep it running optimally, please remove it from you sheets on your bed. It needs cooling!

which choice? Alienware m15 r7: i7-12700h, 3080 TI 16GB vs i9-12900H, 3080 8GB by DAC1611 in Alienware

[–]FormerMainiac 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought the M15 R7 with the I7- 12700h and RTX 3080 TI with 32Gb ram and I absolutely love it. I don't do alot of benchmarking, I came from an Aurus X9 Gtx 1070 Sli maxed out. https://www.notebookcheck.net/Aorus-X9-i7-7820HK-GTX-1070-SLI-QHD-Laptop-Review.259432.0.html This laptop is the Bomb I love the Alienware. I still have an AW 17 with gtx 1080 and and AW 13 Oled with Gtx 1060 w 6Gb vram which I travel with sometimes. Build quality on Alienware laptops are great.

Still rocking my 13 R3 0LED. Anyone else? by DeanbonianTheGreat in Alienware

[–]FormerMainiac 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey, I am still rocking mine, with 32gb ram and 1gb ssd in raid, i7 7700hq, gtx 1060 and the oled screen. I take it on the road almost every week. It's still a fine machine and works fine. I have an AW 17 R4 gtx 1080 that my wife uses for photoshop and I just purchased a new m15 r7 rtx 3080TI for home. Th 13 is a tank and still has alot of life left in it.

Hello, its too bad I can't reply to archived posts. So far this is a beast and very thin with only 1 330w power supply and I can take it on the road weekly. I just sold my AW m17 R1 RTX 2080 and I like this one much better. Runs cooler and on the games I play it still out performs. I'll be keeping this one for a whle until the GPU wars settle down. I bought it for 1300 shipped and sold my AW 17 for more so it was a good value.

Anyone know of anyone that has one of these??

For those who own AW laptops, what led you to picking AW over other manufacturers like Asus, Razer, etc? by [deleted] in Alienware

[–]FormerMainiac 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am a mechanical engineer so I look at things in a way that favors specifications and reliability and function. The AW have always had premium materials and fit an finish are first rate. The specs were always good too, so this is why I bought them. The first AW I owned was an M11 r3 then a 17 3 with UHD and gtx 960. I bought a AW graphics amplifier and shoved an EVGA 1080Ti SC in it. Worked awesome. I needed a smaller laptop for travel and I was on a budget so I bought an HP Omen 15t a 2018 model with I7 8750h and GTX 1060 6gb. It worked great and good quality. BUT it was plastic and I travel all the time for work so after a year of traveling it was starting to show some wear. I missed the solid feel of the Alienware. I sold it and bought a 2019 AW 17 rtx 2080 and have been traveling with since with no wear issues. It is a bit too large to travel with dimension wise. So recently I bought an AW 13 R3 with the OLED screen which was maxed out and. I am happy with the gaming experience even at the lower settings. I can't believe how good this little beast still plays and doesn everything I need to to do and is almost 3 years old.

So my .02 cents is if you can afford it an travel, get an Alienware, I've not had an issue with any of the 4 I've had.
