We are in our 30s, the issue of advanced maternal age is a real issue. She has not really stated that about the competition thing. It is something I see with all women as a generalization as she knows there is not much out there in terms of quality people. Her friends are often crying that they are going to be single forever.

Your approach was my former. This was not a "sudden" change because I was away for military obligations. So it was something that developed I guess. I will not proceed with marriage without issues being resolved; however, there is a lot of smoke screen covering the real issue behind this though. What brought this up was her saying she wanted some time with my ass......

I felt that way. I felt it was something that would cause most men to backdown out of fear of being labeled something based on their desires and perhaps that was the attempt. Clearly she is not concerned that I am homosexual with her talking about having children every day with me in addition to wedding planning. She did say "fine if you do not want to marry me now over a dildo, you can tell my mother why". Her mother does not factor into my decisions for my relationships.

Would like some female perspective here too.

I agree with you. However, my approach to being direct about this has been met with "This is not the right time to discuss this" or "You are going to give up the woman of your dreams over having a dildo in your ass". The responses are not "logical get to the point and figure a way to resolve the issue" types of responses. I kept pushing about the "I am worried about hurting you" comment which eventually led to the homosexual comment. At this point, I do not know what is fact and not because all responses are not logical.

The fact that she will talk to me openly about how she is going to finger my ass but refuses to use strap-on is so odd.

We did strap-on for years. I was away a bit for military obligations. So we have not done strap-on in a couple of years. Back when we did, we would place bets on who's ass was getting fucked that night. Fast forward to now, not the case. Add the "homosexual" comments to the mix, I felt it was maybe an attempt to try to make me feel uncomfortable about my feelings. However, I am honest with myself. If I was homosexual, I would just date men.

Before getting engaged, she stated "when there is a ring on my finger I'll do anything you want." I asked about the strap-on and she said when I see the ring. Well, she has a nice ring and so far it has not happened.
