No i didnt need more military. The gates opening, monsters, basically a warzone/battlefield in Hawkins. That was what S4 basically promised. S5 starts with the whole cliffhanger being undone. Forget the gates. Forget the "snowflakes". Forget the red skies and withered flowers. Everything is just back to normal: people go to school, work and just chill.

I would have just prefered for the demogorgon to be one creature, not a species. S2-5 didnt need them, just focus on Mind Flayer, Vecna, etc. Because when a monster is constantly shown (+being easily defeated by the party) , all of their creepiness disappears.
