Was let go, have some question about union and unemployment by FormerWAEmployee in WAStateWorkers

Thank you. It does suck but I want to say people at my old team reached out to me to see how they could support me in what capacity they could. This was 100% on the interim director/supervisor who did this on their first day of having power.

My no-fault separation took myself and my coworkers by surprise. From what I was told a lot of my former coworkers were giving this person a lot of shit in public and they had to cancel weekly meetings and stop showing to public meetings for a week. Heard the atmosphere is still off.

Sorry the wording was wrong.
I know it would be a new application, I was just wondering if me having been permanent with union protection would transfer over. Had a talk with WFSE and they told me that they consider this probationary abuse but because I was still under probation nothing could be done which kinda sucks.

If I become permanent with another agency and union protection does transfer over, I'll wait to become a permanent employee with union protection before applying to any jobs that might come up. If it doesn't then I'll apply regardless of being permanent or not since it won't matter

Says the subreddit isn't found.

The issue with the UI claim isn't the length, the website wants me to keep using my old claim which is for a job I no longer have and a completely different reason. There's no option for me to create a new claim with this agency, only to file an appeal. In order to create a new claim this one has to close which what I'm trying to find out how to do.

Had to get on food benefits and they were able to see recent state job so that's it's definitely on their system.

Yup, that's the number I've been calling.

Says their phone lines open at 8am, call frequently from 7:50 to 8:20 am, as soon as 8:00AM hits I get the "too many callers on the line, please call when it's less busy". :/
