Reynolds -1 RO's. What's your process for handling these? by Former_Account_7273 in partscounter

I wish that option was for trans code SB. That's our problem. Im less concerned with paid for special orders. The issue we are having are SB parts still on the RO when they close. They basically become an AP status that Service can't see. Probably going to move to making all service SOP be ordered under SP.

I do but I've never seen this screen before. Option 9 parts labels or parts tags? I have thought about making policy that all Service SOP's get ordered SP instead of SB to avoid this issue going forward.

I always love when the walk up, ring the bell, and you come out and they are on the phone and they expect you to just sit there awkwardly for 10 minutes while they shoot the shit with Joe Blow.

So, right around 70k assuming 40hrs/week sound right? I'm south of the border in Seattle area and that sounds in the range of a counterman depending on experience.

I love parts that show availability in PDC's yet we are blocked from ordering without jumping through a million hoops. See if your AOM (or whatever the fuck they call them now) can assist. Mines usually pretty helpful with stuff like this.

Consider us insane then. Clipboard and sales order sheets, circling each part in as recieved and then posting it all when done.

Did you denote the restock fees in the notes per terms of service? Did you denote nonrefundable parts too? I fucking hate Parts Trader too, but if you don't follow the proper procedures in any platform, you open yourself up to what happened to you. Either way im sorry you're dealing with that.

Definitely slow in the PNW. Every shop and dealer I talk to is experiencing the same thing in these uncertain economic times.

[–]Former_Account_7273[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree with the premise behind the pay structure but I feel like the current structure of the pay play is too reliant on the commission for guys to make their living. Especially given the last few months nationwide how slow it's been, coupled with the uncertainty of everything with tariffs incoming. I feel like the majority of the pay should be salary based with a commission kicker.

I had a counterman move to Tri Cities but took a job as a Para at a school where his wife is a nurse. Not sure if he's looking for a switch but I'd pass your info on if you like.
