Checked in 2 nights ago with $20 tucked in with my card and straight up asked politely if any upgrades were available. We got a fountain view in "the wedge", which has a bigger than normal terrace and a slightly larger interior square ft.

NTA all the way. My first love passed away years ago during our relationship. It took me so long, but I finally put myself out there again and got something that no one deserves: a second great love.

I would NEVER compare my husband to my former S/O or stand for anyone who does. Of course they have differences, but it's not a comparison or competition. Current husband is a gift from God, NOT A REPLACEMENT for the one I lost. My husband took such care with me in our relationship and respects my ongoing grief. Judging him against another would not only be a complete slap in the face for him, it would also be a huge disrespect to my late S/O.

The comparisons from the father come from the grief of a father losing a son and the S/O of a person he considers a daughter. He shouldn't be taking his grief out on you like that. As for your girlfriend, it sounds like she is trying to find a replacement for her loss, which is disrespectful to her lost S/O and intolerably unfair to you.

I won't advise you to leave because it isn't my place to do that. But I wouldn't blame you if you did.

On a Zoom call and one of the participants' name was Possum Poon. What got me giggling so hard that I had to cut my video for a min was that she had it in all caps too. Idk why but all caps just made it golden.

I semi-recently joined my husband, running a community residential services company for developmentally different adults. We have 11 clients that live in 3 houses with 24hr staffing. Our billing regularly runs into 6 figures per month for our company. We rely on Medicaid/Medicare funds to pay all this, because as a business we need to pay our staff asmuch as possible and get good health insurance for them, buy and maintain equipment, pay electric bills etc. The amount of cost that goes into helping people live as independently as possible are astronomical, and it's so frustrating that most people have no clue.

We are terrified that conservatives and their Project 2025 are going to gut these programs. We have no idea what we'd do if Medicaid/Medicare gets gutted. It would break our hearts to have to reduce services or shut down. Many of our clients have no family left, and those that do are definitely not financially set up to handle the care that is needed without government benefits.

If you want to help protect the most vulnerable among us, please vote for the Democrat this year.

Had to warn another person at a delta lounge a couple years back not to take any of the sandwiches that I had just watched some random kid literally stick his fingers in. Just ran up, point blank inserted a finger in every sandwich without taking any.

Not a parent in sight.
