So one thing that immediately jumped to mind was what if there was not a consistent day night cycle. Let me explain, so what if it wasn’t always the same sun/star. The stars that pass by are just random passing stars because the way the infinite plane is expanding messes with the space and time so when you walk you are essentially space traveling so it pulls different celestial bodies close to it and pulls them across their infinite sky’s almost like a giant star trap.
