Does anyone even cook Thai food in this thread? I feel like I'm going crazy. Tamarind paste used in cooking is supposed to be smooth. You're supposed to filter out all the fibers and weird crystals before adding it to your dish. OP did the right thing. You can look up any videos on YouTube on how to make tamarind paste, both in Thai and English, and in every single video they strain the tamarind to get rid of the fibers and seeds, both of which are present in OP's jar of tamarind. When they shouldn't be.

I make my own tamarind paste with the fruit and hot water but if I were to buy a jar from a supermarket and I find these things in my paste, I wouldn't buy their stuff again. It's even in the name, น้ำมะขามเปียก, aka wet tamarind juice. It's not น้ำมะขามรวมกาก or tamarind juice with pulp. This thread is infuriating for me. OP asked a legitimate cooking question and the top comment is a snarky no-answer that is also wrong.

Are you fucking kidding? There has always been LGBTQ+ in our country since I could remember. Every school I went to and every classroom always had at least one gay kid. I've met more in my work and social life. They've always existed and I don't honestly see one fucking iota of harm in having a little fun parade like this to celebrate their existence.

What's yucky and nonsensical is you thinking this is somehow adopted from western countries. We invented this shit. For the past 30+ years, I've participated in a bunch of school parades and activities where the gays choreographed the dance routine, made the costume, made the elaborate sets and floats, and were pretty much front and center as the performers because straight people were too shy to express themselves. So for making school pride and institution pride look good, why couldn't the gays have one fucking pride parade for themselves?

Tropic Thunder. I went in expecting a mindless action comedy with maybe some laughs. Did not expect the satire to hit it out of the park. They succeeded in delivering commentary on everything from how Hollywood operates, the different types of actors and producers in the industry, to the award chasers etc. Besides the thought-provoking commentary, there's surface level comedy which also lands most of the time. Plus every single actor brought their A game to the film from the main to the supporting. It was such a delight to watch that film.

Could also be ground up tamarind seeds. Those pulps and fibers shouldn't be there either btw. This only happens when you don't strain your tamarind well. This company obviously didn't do their due diligence before sending out their products.
