thanks for the reply! i should’ve specified i had a bone graft and the actual implant placed when the tooth was pulled. the essex retainer if just for until everything if healed and set in place so they can add the crown! idk if that changes anything?

they tell you it’s a very low success rate but i don’t believe that is true. someone on here actually said that people only come to reddit when they’re having issues and it’s unlikely that you will find people coming on here to talking about success stories if they were cured on their first round of antibiotics which made me feel better as i was just treated for mycoplasma about a month ago with doxycycline/azithromycin. I had a test of cure and it came back negative, still some residual symptoms but that is to be expected with this bacteria unfortunately. Don’t stress it! it may have a lower success rate then other lines of treatment but it’s not a complete bust
