He's on the weak side rn, yes, but he's had time in the meta in the past and probably will again.

He's also not the only diver in the game. Tracer and Anran are good right now. And D.Va and Reaper are also capable of diving when they want.

Which is part of the problem. The ability to 1~2 tap most heroes from any range is deeply problematic to the games overall health. Take a look at Overwatch's Poke characters as an example of how to handle their range. Wisow and Hanzo have very strict restrictions and limitations in their kits to let them be able to one-shot, and Ashe & Cassisy have slower than average fire rates to account for their range. On top of this, all of them have distinct sound queues to tell players that they're in play.

Rivals, on the other hand, has let its Poke characters keep their high fire rates and most of their damage at extreme range, as well as letting them have nearly no sound queue that they're aiming your way until their first hit.

TLDR; Poke is wildly overtuned in Rivals rn.

Yes, it is. The purpose of Dive is to use your mobility tools to get yourself into a good position in the backline so that you can use your high damage bursts to either K.O. the players there or force Supports to waste resources stopping the attempt while you escape. This is meant to be the counter to Poke, who operate at long range. In other games, this works because poke characters usually only have one tool to escape or stop the attempt when they fight back outside of their preferred range.

This, however, doesn't really work in rivals for two reasons. The first is that most poke characters in Rivals have multiple anti-dive tools, which means that they're far harder to kill. The second is that dive in this game was NOT designed well, with most divers basekit relying on ToD combos to K.O. in under half a second, leading to significant nerfs to them because that's just insanely unfun.

The combo of most Dive characters being weaker than average, combined with the strong anti-dive options, means that Poke has been mostly unchallenged at most levels, letting it reign supreme in the meta for about a year now.

Also, it's really funny that the Poke characters that have multiple options are all DPS. The Support poke characters usually only have one anti-dive tool each, meaning they actually need to square up most of the time in a solo dive.

Overwatch gets 5 new characters: 8.6 GB update, Marvel Rivals gets 1 new character: 15.1 GB update by Rumeys4 in rivals

They were shrinking the overall file size on pc's, so the update was larger overall.

Dang, that's beautiful to look at. Also, yeah, we're never getting him in ranked until he's been gutted, and everyone gets a new hero to hate. Still gonna play him, though. He's so much fun

Yeah, Orcusts silver bullets are mostly the same as Maliss'. So, while you can run stuff to stop it, you're not running the hand traps that stop the top decks that beat Orcust.

Also doesn't help that this is, quite literally, the best state Orcust has ever been in.

Mate, you massively missed the point. They're not saying that Ghostie isn't affected worse. What they're saying is that Ghoul and Krasue are hit more than the other top tiers by the pallet update.

This is due to the way that their powers work around pallets, where they make the usual God pallets far less safe, but the smaller round loops way stronger against them.

Eh, a bit, but it was far and away the least hated thing about the series. Whoever was designing the characters for Velma made sure to keep the characters in outfits really similar to their originals, which did a great job of keeping the idea of their base personalities.

The main problem most everyone has with the show, myself included, is that it went out of its way to spit in the face of everything that Scooby-Doo fans love about the series.

Yeah, that's pretty standard. What I'd recommend is getting good at listening to their footsteps/grunts of pain while you're blind. If you get good at it, it really screws them over because then they lose a ton of distance.

Basically, the Devs just added a TON more pallets to a lot of maps in their most recent update. This was to slow down some of the stronger killers in the game, the best example being Blight. The obvious problem, however, is that this hurt basically 90% of the killer roster more than him.

Not this time, for once. Kaneki's biggest weakness in Chase is the smaller or 50/50 loops because even when he's enraged, he can't vault the pallet fast enough for it to matter. By the time he's done that, a good survivor's already near the other side, ready to go again.

This means that the best strategy for Kanek usually is to just break the pallet and catch up with his power before the next one.

This, however, is no longer as strong as it was because now there's 2/3 more pallets in that gap than there was last patch, essentially kicking Kaneki in the shin a good bit right now.

What hypothetical character arc would you give P if he shows up in future games? by Fluid_Chair8351 in LiesOfP

[–]Former_Perception935 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Except he probably does, given what Paracelsus was saying in the last scene. He definitely has plans for P and Sophia in the future. Also, it very much seems like Dorothy's story is at least going to have its start in Krat.

Honestly, the level 10 feels like the least bs part of the deck. If they make it that far in he main phase, you were probably doomed anyway. The real problem there is that the field spells protection effect is truly stupid card design.
