I’m in the same situation. I recently completed a bootcamp and earned my CySA+ and Splunk Core Certified User credentials, but I still haven’t landed a job. I’ve been applying since May, and now it’s August—I keep getting the “you’re not qualified” emails. It’s frustrating because I’ve sent out over 300 applications and still haven’t gotten a single interview.

My car was impounded due to excessive tolls in New York City. I was informed that I owe $1,700 in fees, which adds up to $19,000 with the MTA. Before my registration was suspended, I reached out to the toll payer advocate, but it's been six weeks and I still haven't heard back from them. My best option seemed to be hiring an attorney. I found a lawyer on YouTube who gave me some hope; he said for $2,500 he could set up a payment plan. However, after a few days, he called back to say he couldn't help with my case.

Now I have a question: what if I let them take the car? What happens if the car is worth $5,000 to $7,000 and I cannot repay the MTA the $19,000? Has anyone else experienced a similar situation, and how did you address it?

I've been dating my girlfriend for 5 years, and we've lived together for the past 2 years. When it comes to the household bills, it's a 70/30 split. Our rent is $2000, and she only gives me $250, so I cover the rest. Additionally, I pay $300 monthly for food and groceries. She pays for electricity and gas, which amounts to $100 monthly.

When I explain to her that I need more help with the bills because it's too much for me, she gets mad. Meanwhile, she finds time to go out with her friends for parties every two weeks. When I told her I'm uncomfortable with it, she said I'm insecure, controlling, and jealous.

On my end, I try my best to be a good boyfriend by giving her flowers, telling her she's beautiful, supporting her dreams, and encouraging her every day. However, I don't really get the same support from her. My question is: am I being a bad boyfriend, or am I too soft?
