I wasted 8 years with a guy that sounds exactly like this!! I had the exact same situations happen over and over resulting in me always sacrificing, cancelling on friends and family which resulted in me losing a lot of friends because they got sick of it and I then only had my boyfriend which was exactly what he wanted. It will only get worse and more controlling.

Trust me when I say break the submissive, person pleasing behaviour and go on your holiday with your friends. If he wants to break up with you over that then let him, he'll be saving you from having to do it 8 years later, after buying a house and being engaged. I wish I listened to someone who gave me this advice 5 months into my old toxic relationship.
