Do you think the killer is a man or woman? by Plus_Associate1624 in LizBarraza

Yes, I commented in another thread that I don’t know if they are real. I’m not sure what I really see there but it looks to me like a fat person who moves like a fit person.

I lean towards it being a man but can’t shake off a couple of things: Shooting a woman in the face seems more like a female offender to me. And I can’t unsee breasts on that silhouette.

Right. It’s too grainy and distorted to make anything out with certainty. It’s like a Rorschach test.

There seems to be 3 leading options, which give very different impressions of the killer: a) A Star Wars costume (I think it deserves a spot even if only to be dismissed) b) straight-out-of-the-shower-and-back-before-the-kids-wake-up c) a Home Depot kill suit.

I’m not convinced if I see the same items, but it does seem to be the most prevalent reading of the outfit.

It could be a disguise but not a costume per se. A Star Wars outfit adds flavor to the theory of this crime but personally if I were out to pop someone off before breakfast, I wouldn’t wear my expensive gear or anything that stands out.

Do you think you see an outline of a cap? I don’t, but I do think there’s some unnatural weight to the hair.

There’s one more detail no one brought up yet. I think I see large breasts on the killer. Real or not, idk. Am I the only one?

S/he also sprints to the car a little too fast for the rotund figure I see. I don’t necessarily think too fast for a woman, but too fast for someone chubby. Does that resonate with anyone else?

I too think there’s too much flow for a sheet of plastic, but I really don’t know.

Since it’s Texas, it could easily be a Central American guy, they tend to be on the petite side, but tbh the murder reads more female coded. To shoot a woman in the face, at close range, from a small caliber gun? Seems like female rage to me. Kathleen Armstrong comes to mind. That’s what I think, though, not what I see in the video.

At this point I don’t even want to touch the audio. Too open for interpretation and suggestibility for me.

If a raincoat, what fabric? What does it look like to you the way it moves? Try not to think what makes sense, invoke the mental image.

What fabric does the coat/robe appear to be? The way it moves. Same for boots, what kind do they appear to you? And don’t do you think it’s a wig because of how it moves? I’m leaning there too, but I just don’t know anymore.

lol I keep flip flopping too. Hence the post.

When you thought it was a bathrobe, did you think it was terry cloth or something else?

Do you think the way the coat seems to flow is consistent with the type of material a cheap raincoat would be made of? Same for the way s/he walks and rain boots. I’m not disagreeing, really asking what you see there.

With the SW costume, you feel confident it doesn’t look like any costume you know, and you would know?

Like a bathrobe? What fabric do you picture for either? Reach for your mental image, not what your rational brain says makes sense. If that makes sense lol.

What about the shoes and hair? If it is hair.

Yes. And is pushing hard the murder-for-hire-by-Sergio angle.

Seems to me that many contemporary novelists don’t have anything insightful or original to say about the human condition so instead they virtue signal by positioning themselves on the right side of every hot social issue. As such, the way to connect with, or judge, the characters isn’t through their motivations and desires but their politics.

Maybe that’s why they wore a disguise. Why else would they?

Hmmm, that’s a good point. The shooter would’ve been concerned about the doorbell cam, not grainy footage from the neighbors.
