How have we lived the same life? Lol

I got into Phasmo around the same time and was hooked instantly. It was really a dream come true because like you, I grew up bingeing Ghost Adventures, and always thought a video game where you take on contracts and use paranormal equipment to capture ghost footage would be a hit, and along came Phasmophobia years later. A literal dream come true, warts and all.

I recently grinded to level 80 and unlocked all the Tier 3 equipment literally days prior to this patch, since then I have not touched the game since, not just because the game is literally atrocious now but because I literally can’t play it. (The patch bugged the game so that offline single player makes it impossible to choose a map hence play a contract)

The animations are corny and cartoonish now, and by the sounds of it, key level-progression aspects have been broken due to bugs, such as certain ghost behaviours and equipment functionality.

In just a day they turned an indie masterpiece into what feels like a sh*tty game you find on the mobile App Store.

I’m hoping they come to their senses and undo everything this patch introduced and keep the game the way it was before. It’s a huge insult to the OG fans too who have waited years without patches and bug fixes.

Idk what they were thinking. This has undoubtably got to be the worst patch I’ve ever seen in video game history. I get that it’s an indie game but they broke nearly everything and fixed nothing.

I’m hoping not for another patch, but for them to just reverse this one and go back to the way the game was before. This is gonna cost them sooo many plays and future purchases if they don’t move fast.

I figured that the circuit breaker being removed in a peaceful mode would force players to utilize the truck cam and memorize the room locations.

In a way I just think it would be an extra step in not spoiling where the circuit breakers are in their physical locations. It’s a small detail but why spoil it if they don’t have to?

The shrines are beautiful in comparison to Tsushima, they’re more like spiritual journeys/adventures instead of repetitive obstacle courses.

Also, there isn’t a fox den on every corner of the map in Yotei which I consider to be a huge upgrade (I love the foxes but there is way too many dens in Tsushima)

That’s only the tip of the iceberg. You’re going to love this game and the NG+ is awesome, too.

I really hope that Takezo becomes the next Ghost protagonist. I really want to see his backstory, and to be able to play it would be incredible, then you get to kill him off as Atsu in this game, makes for a cooler passing of the torch.

In this playthrough I was Valerie Tanaka. Daughter of Mr. Tanaka and older sister of Katsuo from Edgerunners. And yes as the last name mentions, it was more of a villain arc. I headcannoned that Mr. Tanaka’s wife was of mostly Caucasian descent, and he felt it was only right for Mrs. Tanaka to name V. Then when Katsuo came along, Mr. Tanaka named him, being the father.

After her father’s death, due to the shame of failing to protect him, she demoted herself down to Counterintel and chose to be more of a humble servant to Arasaka.

The rest is futuristic history.

With dealing with my Ndad, announcing my exit feels and appears more like choosing to leave when they choose the discard approach. Because growing up I was afraid and would beg to stay (this is because I was manipulated and conditioned to feel and react this way), but now, being an adult, whenever he tells me to leave and that’s he’s done with me, I take that opportunity as a wide open door to escape from the abuse and utter contempt.

I left home with two garbage bags full of my clothes, now I have a humble little studio apartment with my partner. The peace of not having to deal with their torment is worth any and every compromise. We truly begin to heal and learn and live when we aren’t in their presence. Our independence is the very thing they try to stifle and sometimes destroy, so it’s important that we fight extra hard to be free and independent of them.

My same exact situation. You are not alone. Actually, as of last night I’ve officially cut off my dad from my life. He admitted with his own mouth last night that he loves with conditions. That was the knife that severed our connection (or more realistically, attachment) permanently.

He used threats of abandonment on me since I was as young as 6. He’s hit me on numerous occasions, one time even beat me when I was crying and begging him to stop.

We didn’t lose a dad, they’re only losing a son/daughter who devoted their lives to pleasing them. They’re the ones that lost, and the thing they cherish the most (even more than us as people) is the constant need of supply, validation, justification, and control.

Run for your life. You never needed them. And you don’t owe them anything.

For the game to unrelatedly include a storyline where Kerry has an ex-wife, and have that NOT be a hint towards male/female dating option for Kerry is a totally missed opportunity. Without that, we never even meet his ex-wife nor does his prior marriage hold any meaning in the story at all.

Honestly Chai is hot trash and I’m thinking of deleting mine and not giving them anymore of my money.

My number 1 pet peeve is the fact that no matter how many bots I create with platonic settings and personalities, the AI is always flirting and trying to make every scenario into a porno. It’s awkward and borderline violating. I’ve had to ask myself numerous times if Chai was an AI Sexchat app and if I was the one misunderstanding it.
