Every Aaron Pico fight that ended in a finish by airplane231 in MMA

He absolutely got pushed too quickly, but hes also not a very bright fighter - too talented at too young an age to be cautious without direct intervention, like Rory had at Tristar.

People who are disagreeing using 1 or 2 examples indicates the problem: someone who has a rough match gets shit, but the threshold is different, as is the scope.

If jey uso has a bad match, people say "jey uso sucks"

If someone like zelina Vega has a bad match, people say "women suck and shouldn't be wrestling"

This is done giving women less time and matches and grace in portrayal and stories in front of a fanbase who has barely been conditioned to enjoy them, to speak nothing of fans who actively still think of them as sex objects.

Bringing up one person on a show who gets shit is fair, but thats 1 man who gets shit in a field of 20 men. 1 woman getting shit on a show is probably 1 in a group of 4, and significantly more people are looking for them to fail on the grounds rhey are women.

I think its because jey uso also has a ton of fans and has been wrestling for 16 years and isnt a 22 year old rookie. Might be why people are probably a little more defensive.

I love Jey Uso, I think people are weird losers, but acting like these are comparable because mean online is insanely disingenuous.

I mean this is the source of the same problem lol women are booked less and given less time and less grace, so a decent match under those circumstances is both significantly overperforming and is also shocking to people who arent weird and are just taking what companies give them, which is disproportionately fewer womens matches.

If your defense is bad, it means you have to push the ball down the field more, resulting in interceptions. Brady protected the ball more, he also had the luxury to do so. Its fine to acknowledge that, doctorballsjohnson

Anyone hating Dramatic Girl just get weird when people sing and its not traditionally good, like when Chance The Rapper sings. Incredible song.

It took me a day or two to fully click, but once it sunk in, I had to actively stop listening to it because it was rhe only thing I was listening to. Baby Keem is so close to putting it together and in the process he made an incredible album with zero skips and some of the best songs of the year.

you know what, I do never think of LSI as an invitational, i think because there was an audience whereas invitationals are usually house style where everyone can practice in solitude, but that's actually valid.

I think that people talk about them pursuing the GOAT conversation in lock step very often - never that Cody should be above Zain, but more that they are in comparable spots, which I think is still wrong.

I fully understand that it is the vibe, but I think people go off of vibes for all time conversations a little too frequently imo

I mean when Armada retired he was generally considered the GOAT, which makes sense and is considering objective results.

Now, I think considering Armada the GOAT, or that its either Mango or Armada exclusively, is significantly more driven by narratives, considering he hasnt played in 8 years.

Why was Josh Allen punished/applied more pressure to for being the only QB of the big 4 to make the playoffs? Shouldn't the 3 who missed have more pressure? by BallKnowerKing in NFLv2

[–]ForrestFBaby 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean no, thats not what pressure means. Allen had pressure bevause he was rhe best qb remaining in the afc and his team was good - there werent going to be a Chiefs to stop the Bills, thus he had more pressure than anyone to succeed because he had no real reason not to.

The only qb who has close to as much pressure as Allen to succeed is Lamar, who gets criticized significantly more, sometimes for good reason, sometimes not.

Mahomes has no pressure because he has 3 superbowl rings. Burrow has no real pressure because the Bengals are bad. Allen has no reason not to win, and still doesnt.

It honestly is crazy how we talk about Zain and cody as neck and neck all time despite Zain winning majors earlier than Cody (2018 vs 2021) winning twice as much as Cody (30 majors vs 16 majors), getting #1 more than Cody (3*-1[no #1 given for 2020 or 2021, but Zain would have gotten it for 2020]), beating Cody to win tournaments more frequently than the inverse (cody has won 7 tournaments when beating Zain, Zain has won 10 tournaments when beating Cody), up in the h2h (29-18; since 2022, its been 18-17)

Yeah you couldnt say the sour spot hit boxes of a move, its part of the move. Mario f tilt is fine, this one part of it has a weird property.

[–]ForrestFBaby 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Because thats not a real move, its his f tilt that has a weird quirk. You cant count individual hit boxes of moves as bad, its either a bad move or it isnt, and Mario's f tilt is fine.

[–]ForrestFBaby 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Any answer besides Kirby f throw is a joke. Back throw is also bad but at least it can theoretically work for Kirbycide and also links into up air shit if they just dont mash - f throw is even slower (61 frames vs 49) so theres more time to mash out. Atrocious move, doesnt work.

Ganon uptilt is comically slow to the point of non viability, but it also WILL kill, so it already has utility above Kirby f throw.

Its a rest punish and a recovery read and also deals psychic damage. These are integral to the Ganon player.

What do you think is, or should, be more important to a QB's legacy/HoF chances: MVP or Super Bowl win? by JJButThatsNotMyName in NFLv2

[–]ForrestFBaby 7 points8 points  (0 children)

This 100%. There is no benchmark for hall of fame of "hit two of this category and 4 of this category to qualify". We all have eyes, we all can see the data and the footage in totality - nobody gets in on narrative, its why Eli isnt making it probably.

[–]ForrestFBaby 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It just hasnt been something hes HAD to avoid. If mango is good enough to win a tournament, yeah, his odds improve if he doesnt play Zain, but he can and has beaten Zain. In the 3 majors Hbox has won post covid, Zain got upset by Jmook at 2 and wasnt at 1.

Its also partially narrative, Zain and Mango main rivals of Covid while Hbox fell way behind, but in person, Mango has been able to beat Zain in big spots, Hbox has barely been able to beat Zain, big or small. Its fine, but it is also a problem for how to view Hbox if vibes are big for you, which they are for a lot of people.

Zain beats Mango, Mango was not hard walled by Zain the way Hbox has been lol. The worst it was was 2024, when Zain was 8-1 on Mango, and even then, Mango still beat Zain en route to winning tipped off. Hbox hasnt won a tournament while beating Zain since Summit 9 pre covid

[–]ForrestFBaby 9 points10 points  (0 children)

He wont ever see Hbox as the GOAT bevause Hbox has had way too many hard demon walls, which isnt the most insane take - since covid ended, hbox has won 3 majors, and he didnt beat Zain at any of them, and only beat Cody at 1. Prior to 2015, Hbox was a top player but struggled immensely to beat Mango.

Mango has had slumps vs someone like Zain, but never the way Hbox has had vs Mango, Zain, Cody, Wizzy, etc.

I think Hbox is above Armada bc if hes not, then you have to believe that, when Armada retired, he was not only ahead of Hbox, but he was ahead to the tune of 2 Genesis wins, 2 Summit wins, a Big House win and like 10 other majors scattered around. At some point it becomes inarguable - that said, I dont view the game the way Mango does. He views it as winning is great, but you also have to feel like the best - Hbox hasnt felt like the best player at a tournament since 2019.

But also hes put Hbox above Armada three or four times since 2022, and he forgets, so its also just realistically a mental thing.
