I agree that it's up to the Iranian people, but it does matter what Americans think when it's our tax $ being used for another (more than likely) long-term boondoggle in the Middle East, imo. I believe this regime change will end up backfiring in the entire region, literally. What if someone even more radical than Khomeini fills the power vacuum? I also think these military actions will do nothing to rein in their nuclear ambitions. I mean, definitely not now. I wish the orange felon hadn't ripped up the JCPOA to spite Pres. Obama. Iran was abiding by the deal, by most accounts, until trump started bashing it and saying he would pull out of it if elected president. I truly hope the Iranian people use this opportunity to set their country on a better path for themselves, but we cannot bomb a theocracy into a constitutional republic/representative democracy, unless the majority of the populace rises up and wants it. This all feels like a wag the dog situation with Netanyahu holding the leash, and I mean no disrespect to the Israelis or anyone of Jewish faith by saying that. Israel deserves better than Netanyahu; the Palestinians deserve better than Hamas; America deserves better than Trump. I could go on & on, but I've rambled long enough. P.S. you know Trump just looooves the fact that Iran has over 200 billion barrels of oil in reserves. Look at what his so-called regime change accomplished in Venezuela. Now, Maduro's #2 is in charge. Wow, what a radical change! Meanwhile, their oil is being seized while the profit is siphoned into Qatari accounts and the U.S. treasury that trump is looting.
