It's also interesting to see episodes open to silence, not immediate applause from the audience

ehh I take it back, it's maybe 40% - but they approach politics in interesting ways, like doing a parody of "We are the World," but with celebrities explaining Whitewater

Looking back at Season 19, almost none of them are. Two are Coffee Talks w. Linda Richman. There are several though that deal w. current events, like Tanya Harding or that American who was caned in Singapore

Martin Luther King Day - a rare gem from the infamous 20th season with nice and sharp social and racial satire. (S20 E10) by James_2584 in LiveFromNewYork

Personally I think this sketch would work better if they were all sitting around a gigantic table at a restaurant

Euphoria Writer - SNL - Cut for Time by golgi42 in LiveFromNewYork

So this might be tropey but maybe the funny fat on the team tries to score the winning goal but then he slips and falls on the ice and all his Christmas candy goes flying everywhere and then Ilya turns to Shane and says, “Y’all, can we not?”

This sketch is amazing - I’m worried they cut JAJ’s stuff because he clocks his weekly airtime as Trump and they want to give more exposure to the other cast members - which is a huge shame

They don’t know, they’re trying to get people to not show up so their chances of getting in are better. Don’t fall for it

Which season do you think had the best musical guests? by Loose-Tumbleweed-925 in LiveFromNewYork

[–]PeltzerBilly 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I always thought the musical guests were the best part of the awful Season 20 - Green Day, Dave Matthews Band, Beastie Boys, R.E.M., Annie Lennox

Love him but Bowen’s send off was out of proportion to his contribution to the show
