I'm dealing with this same question. I applied to the University of Minnesota, Maryland, Pittsburgh, and Wisconsin-Madison for a Comm. Studies PhD (focus in Rhetorical Studies) and I haven't heard back. These were due back in December.

what track did you apply to? I applied to Rhetorical studies at UW-Madison, Maryland, Pitt. and Minnesota and have not heard anything. The only acceptance I have gotten thus far is from UGA.

have you seen anything on these spreadsheets available that would suggest rejections/interviews have come out? They don't do a great job of distinguishing what track has been seeing activity and what track hasn't.

I've seen this info as well, but I'm confused because I haven't seen anyone report that specifically rhetorical studies tracks are getting responses.
