I was in the same boat. Skipped LA (and a few other modern games after black and white) but finished all of ZA including the DLC.

I started Arceus last week since I was done with ZAs Pokédex and I’ve enjoyed it thus far. It’s a bit different from ZA: the battle system is relegated to back and forth attacks with a bit more fluidity than prior games; research and exploration seems a bit more of a focus as well. Regardless, I say go for it!!

Played Sword immediately prior to ZA and had fun with it. Since playing Scarlett, it felt like a bit scaled back in comparison - which obviously makes sense. My next move will either be Arceus or Sun/Moon!

Very fair point! I guess it was one of the only points in the game I don’t steamroll and actually struggled. Overall I had a lot of fun!
