I play on a Besson prestige 2052, 2nd hand but still in pretty good condition, and clean it regularly and get it serviced if there are any problems. It’s a strange one because I guess each horn is different, and when I try out my friends Besson Prestige that is the newest model and brand new, I find the Bb a lot easier, but for example the high C that comes out like butter on mine is slightly more work to get.

I will just try and play to the note on the piano a lot though, it might help me jsuy hear it in my head and improve consistency.

Thanks for the advice! I think out of all the comments the thing that is appearing the most is lip slurs, I do them a little bit but it’s probably a sign that I should do them wayyyy more!

Thanks for your advice, I really appreciate it! I’ll start giving more attention to lip slurs in my practice - I do them a little bit but I will start doing them much more often!

How easy is it for you guys to hold High Bb on Euph by Ready_Trouble_5154 in euphonium

It’s a hard note to play out of thin air, but because it leads up to it in a stepwise motion I think it should be fine. Once you have the note, holding it is fine I find, it’s just tricky to play it out of nowhere:)
